Dog Days of Summer with Warby Parker

Since losing my favorite sunglasses from Anthropologie at the lake over the Fourth of July weekend I’ve been on the search for the perfect replacement pair. Currently I’m rocking some bright orange pair that were hanging around my dad’s house after misplacing my back up pair. It’s been a rough summer for my sunglasses, if you can’t tell. Whatever pair I purchase next I vow to keep for at least a year and place them back in their case immediately after use, also they cannot come to the lake with me. Sorry new sunglasses but it’s for your own good!

Anyways, I’ve been searching for a few weeks now and haven’t found anything that really struck me until I landed my eyes on Warby Parker’s Summer 2014 line. I’m slightly…okay completely obsessed with the line. So much so that there’s four different pairs that I cannot choose between! The Banks, Cliff, Haskell, and Ormsby are making me decision extremely hard. I love the bigger shape of the Banks and Cliff frames but also really love the vintage, bookish feel of the Haskell and Ormsby frames.

Warby Parker’s Summer 2014 line is based on bookish silhouettes and surf-inspired hues which I think they’ve accomplished perfectly! Each of my top picks (yes I realize I have four top picks) comes in a lighter, brighter hue that truly replicates the colors you’d see at the beach. The Ormsby in English Oak reminds me of the cutest beach house on Sullivan’s Island, SC that they might just end up winning me over because of that fact! Really though they have me dreaming right now of lounging on the beach under the warm summer sun listening to country (or beach) music with a margarita in my hand, just soaking in the dog days of summer!

So if you’d like to weigh in and comment with your favorite pair, I really wouldn’t mind as it might make my decision a little easier 🙂 Good luck choosing y’all!
