New Year, Get Cracking!

Today marks one week in 2015. I truly can’t believe it’s 2015! 2014 was an absolute world wind. An incredible, memory making world wind. Honestly think it was the best year yet. 2015, you have some seriously big shoes to fill! With a new year comes new resolutions and goals. Last year I completed five and a half out of the eight I set. Although I’d love to have completed and marked them all with big gold stars I am so happy with the ones I did complete! So here’s a look back at last years resolutions/goals and a list of what I want to accomplish this year. What’s on your list for 2015?

A look back at my 2014 Resolutions

Completely cut gluten from my diet
This did not happen. I definitely cut out a lot more but I carbs far too much to pass up the dinner rolls at pretty much any and every restaurant..whoops!

Create a budget and REALLY STICK TO IT
Nope did not happen, not even a little bit

Run more 5ks and at least one 10k by the end of the year
I ran four 5ks this year and focused on running more while at the gym. The 10k did not happen though…so maybe that will move on to this year.

Pay off my Nordstrom card
Very excited to say this was a success again this year, woohoo!

Read the bible more
Something I definitely did but one of those things you can always do more of

Focus more attention on my blog
I’d say I definitely stepped up to the plate on this one. Posting 4-5 times each week, attending blogger events, researching more, and purchasing louellareese.com<

Show people how much I appreciate them and all that they do – I have so many amazing people in my life that deserve to know they are wonderful and truly appreciated!
I think this is something I did a lot more this year. I worked on telling people how much I appreciate them and saying thank you a lot more! Everyone deserves to know how much they are appreciated and loved…so I’ll be continuing this one and working on it even more!

Travel more – visit at least six new places
This year I was beyond blessed in the traveling department. I was able to visit a bunch of college friends, spend weekends away with Joshua, and travel across the world with my mom. I have absolutely caught the travel bug and even though I only arrived home Tuesday night form Israel I cannot wait to make plans for my next trip. In 2014 I made it to seven new places…Phoenix, AZ + Athens, GA + Greenville, SC + Boston, MA + Fair Haven, NJ + S.Norwalk, CT + Israel {Bethlehem, Tel Aviv}

2015 Resolutions

Travel more – step it up to at least eight new places this year
Eat less sweets – I am literally the biggest sweets person you will ever meet. Cake, cookies, brownies, tarts, pies..you name it, I like it! So in effort to be healthier I absolutely want to cut back on my sugar intake.
Create a budget – since I absolutely failed at this last year, I really want to do it this year and stick to it!
Try new work out classes – I tried yoga for the first time last year, totally fell in love, so why not try out others. High on my list is Pure Barre.
Obtain a job I LOVE – while I love blogging it is not my full time job {I wish!} I want to do something daily that supports me {and Reese Poppy} and love doing it!
Do not cut my hair short – yes I am so serious haha! I feel like it’s almost every year that I cut my hair super short. I almost always love it but then a few months in I cannot wait to have long hair again. So this year I want to end the cycle and keep it growing!!
