Life Lately

It’s been forever since I’ve done a Instagram round up and I thought it was about time to do so! If you aren’t following Louella Reese on Instagram {@LouellaReese} be sure to get on it. You’ll see lots of outfits that don’t make it to the blog, Reese Poppy being a cutie, and have a little more of a peek into my day to day life.

I bought my first pair of Converses a few weeks after getting back from Israel. I don’t know what in the world took me so long to purchase a pair. I love them paired with leggings, rolled up jeans, and will definitely be wearing them this summer with breezy dresses.

For the last two winters Joshua and I have taken a little mountain escape with my siblings and their spouses. We skied, ate a lot, played in the snow, and soaked up some gorgeous sunsets. Oh we also had some intense games of heads up…the gals killed it, of course!

{Ugg boots}

Last week Charlotte experienced a little snow and we got a day off work. So Joshua and I walked around uptown Charlotte, indulged in some tasty eats and amazing hot chocolate, and cozied up to watch a couple movies.

I purchased these beauties while having a little gals day with my mom. Y’all I absolutely love spending the day shopping, going to lunch, and grabbing drinks with my mom. I always have the best time and we end up laughing our heads off. Anyways, I cannot wait for spring to come around so I can start wearing these! They’ll be on serious repeat.

Someone who was in no way excited about the snow! Reese Poppy just had her haircut last Monday {she was in serious need of it!} and she was absolutely freezing while making her run out to the potty. Thank goodness for her sweater which she really does love!

One of my absolute favorite looks I’ve worn recently. This came together super quickly as we were headed to church and I woke up late. Sometimes when your in a hurry that’s when the best outfits come together! This coat was my mom’s in the 70s/80s and I am beyond thankful that she kept it around. Also totally loving this sock + boot combo.

Serious fan of pattern mixing and accessories recently. I really cannot get enough of hats! This one was a random find at Nordstrom a few months back.

How stinking cute is this card? I’ve had a serious love affair with Rachel Tenny’s cards recently. They are so beyond adorable and hilarious {like this one}.

I wore this to a recent blog event at Nordstrom with some of my favorite blogger babes. This skirt was on my wish list for months when my mom surprised me with it on my birthday a few years back. Can’t go wrong with champagne and sparkle!

This past weekend Joshua, myself, and 13+ friends did a brewery tour around Charlotte. Hitting nine different breweries in nine hours. Definitely a fun way to experience Charlotte!

  1. Congrats on purchasing your first pair of converse! I've been a huge fan of their sneakers for years now and I can't wait to purchase a white pair for the summer!

    I love roundup posts like this, but you have such a great Insta feed!

    It took me a long time to get on the Converse band wagon, too. I bought my white Chucks last spring and I LOVE them! I can't wait until it's warm (and the snow is all gone) so I can wear them again.
