Wanderlust

The last year I’ve become a real travel bug. I’ll come home from one trip and be itching to leave for another before my suitcase is unpacked. Last year was all about visiting college buddies in their hometowns {places I’d never been} and traveling with one of my best gal pals. Joshua and I were also lucky enough to take a few long weekend trips to explore local vacay spots. To close out the year my mom and I traveled to Israel where we experience the trip of a lifetime {read about it here}. A trip that I think about daily! On the plane ride home from Israel all I could think about was how much I wanted to explore more places, cultures, scenery, and people.

Now with the temperatures refusing to stay in the 70s and spring to stick around I am having a serious case of wanderlust. I find myself daydreaming of clear waters, bikini weather, and a tropical drink in my hand {who wants to join?}! With all of this daydreaming going on I decided to come up with a list of my top ten places I want to visit. There’s an even split between places in the States and those that would require a little more planning {and finances}. What places are on your must visit list?

Nashville, Tennessee – this is number one for me and Joshua. We have been dying to go there since we basically started dating. Luckily it’s on the books to happen this year and I absolutely cannot wait. If you’ve been or live there, please please please let me know of must see places and restaurants!

St. Lucia, Caribbean – white sandy beaches, clear blue waters, tropical drinks, island life. It’s the perfect destination, is it not?

Napa Valley, California – while I’m not the biggest wino I would not mind traveling to wine country, touring the vineyards, and biking down the gorgeous country roads hitting a few farmer’s markets in between. Maybe even a picnic with Joshua along the way!

Bald Head Island, North Carolina – I actually visited the island almost two years ago with one of my best gal pals and had the most incredible time. Honestly one of my favorite vacations to date! Joshua has never been though and I really want to go together and show him around!

Santorini Island, Greece – hello Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Since seeing that movie Greece has always been on my must visit list. Since then I’ve seen lots of pictures from bloggers who have visited the gorgeous island which has only increased my desire to go!

San Francisco, California – I’ve heard for years from my mom about how much I would love San Francisco from the city trolley to the adorable homes to the amazing cuisine. Not to mention Julia from Gal Meets Glam is constantly taunting me with gorgeous snapshots.

Savannah, Georgia – another place I’ve been to before but for only a very, very short time {less than 48 hours} so I’d like to go back, experience more, and wonder the old southern city with my love!

London, England – everyone has to experience London once right? This is definitely one of the top places on my list. I want to see the palace {maybe see Prince Charles} and every other beautiful landmark the city has to over.

Tuscany, Italy – Gelato. Pasta. Pizza. Wine. Do I need to say anything more?

Bora Bora – DREAM. Serious dream. A hut over the water with 360 degree views. The ability to drive right the water a few feet from your bed. Views that will literally take your breath away {even the pictures do!}.  Definitely a dream location!

Oh my gosh so jealous you're going to Alaska!! My boyfriend's parents just went there and were blown away by it's beauty. Savannah is so much fun! You definitely have to walk around the shops by the water and hit up Leopold's Ice Cream Parlor, it's incredible. I hope you have a wonderful time gal 🙂
