Happy Friday y’all! Today definitely deserves a little celebration. I don’t know about y’all but this week was a slow one and I am absolutely ready for 5 o’clock to come around! With that I thought a little party post was necessary. Plus the first official first day of Summer is Sunday, so that’s definitely another reason to celebrate {Father’s Day too, gift ideas here}.

On Tuesday I shared a recipe post with citrus cookies + Joshua’s favorite summer drink {besides a cold brew}, an Arnold Palmer. So today I’m sharing my favorite refreshing beverage, a margarita, of course! Margaritas have been a favorite of mine for years now and you can kind of say {my mom says it :)} I can be a bit of a margarita snob. But really it’s just I know what I like and don’t like {heavy sour mix and sugary triple sec}. Truly the best margaritas are the ones made at home and by Joshua. He somehow  always gets the combination just right! So today I’m sharing my go to margarita recipe for a nice light, refreshing summer drink.

Refreshing Skinny Margarita
{About 100 calories and serves 4}
12 ounces sparkling lime + orange water
6 ounces of tequila
1/4 cup orange juice {I use OJ with lots of pulp}
1 full lime squeezed
1 lime, cut into four for garnish
Optional: Salt for the rim {very coarse salt}

Directions
Rub lime wedge around rim of glass
Dip rim of glass in the coarse salt
Fill glass with lots of ice {it’s need to be very cold for these 97+ degree days}
Place all other ingredients {besides lime wedges} into a pitcher
Mix until well combined
Pour into four glasses
Sip + Enjoy!
