Blanket Scarf Tutorial

This had to be one of my favorite shoots to date. Kayla and I had so much fun taking these photos. As you can see below this scarf is legit longer and wider than me. Aka it made for some funny bloopers {which I’m thinking need a post of their own one day, what do y’all think?} and some great giggles! As I’m sure you’ve noticed if you’ve been following Louella Reese and/or any other blog, blanket scarves are kinda a big deal in the blog world. We’re obsessed! One surely will not due. I’ve already added two this season and have multiples on the wish list to add here shortly! I’ve linked lots below too for y’all to shop.

Step 1: Completely unfold scarf so it is one big square

Step 2: Fold scarf diagonally in half so you have one giant triangle. Grab the two longer ends and hold across your chest.

Step 3: Wrap the longer ends around the back of your neck and pull to opposite sides. Once wrapped around pull them a bit so they come over your shoulders to the front of your body.

Step 4: Tuck the long ends under the body of the scarf {what’s laying on your chest}. Then fluff the body of the scarf to be the shape you’d like. I always pull it down a bit from my neck. As blanket scarves can sometimes make you feel like you can’t more your neck if they’re too tight around it. Ta-Da you’re done and have yourself one cozy blanket scarf!

These scarves truly are one of my favorite pieces for fall/winter. They’re so cozy and can be worn multiple ways. I honestly even use mine as a legit blanket sometimes at work or car rides. To me they are so much fun to wear and create such a statement. Almost like a fabulous piece of jewelry {just a lot less expensive haha}. This look above is a super typical fall look for me. Once fall rolls around my cords are worn daily. I have three pair and kind of just rotate them + my jeans + a dress or two. But the cords are the comfiest and don’t stretch which is ahhhh-mazing! I definitely recommend picking up a pair of them. They come in a variety of colors from neutrals to bright hues.
