This past weekend we had a real sneak peek at spring {actually more like summer} with 75+ degree weather. It was incredible! My skin was happy to soak up the rays and feel some warmth. While this week has been just as nice, this weekend we’ll be going back to cooler temps and rainy days {boooooo}. This weekend though, I didn’t think twice about pulling out one of my favorite skirts I purchased from Old Navy last year which I kind of wore nonstop last spring/summer seasons and will probably do again this year! Swingy mini skirts are such a great item for warmer weather. They’re so easy to dress up or down, pair with a simple tee or pattern play with a funky blouse.

As you can tell, with this look I decided to pattern play a bit! I love the way the blouse pulls out the lighter blue in the skirt, making it pop. This blouse is definitely going to be a favorite of mine during the warmer months. It’s incredibly lightweight and breathable {necessary with NC’s intense humidity}. If blue isn’t your color it does come in a variety of different shades/patterns.

While I wore this for an afternoon in Raleigh in my mom and sister last weekend, this combo will absolutely be worn again for a date night with Joshua {hopefully sooner rather than later!}.

After 4 out of 5 weekends in a row of being out of town {Asheville, Charleston, Las Vegas, and Raleigh} I am sooooo excited to be home this weekend! I plan on getting some wedding items crossed off my list {like getting my bridesmaid proposal packages completed}, catching up on blogging, and watching the Nashville season premiere since I was too lame to stay up and watch it last night. What are y’all up to this weekend?!
