Well Monday, we meet again. Time to concur another week. Who’s ready to show this week who’s boss? I kind of really am haha. After a great weekend with friends & family I’m feeling refreshed. Also really looking forward to next weekend where Joshua and I get to attend not one but two weddings! After next weekend we will have attended one rehearsal dinner and three weddings within eight days!

This weekend when getting ready for the first of the three weddings, I tried out my first ever curling wand. I know *gasp*. I am way late on trying the curling wand! It’s something I’ve always wanted to try but have weirdly been nervous to try and also scared to step away from my trusty curling iron {we have a serious bond}. This past weekend though, I gave it a go. And….

I’m in love. Completely and utterly obsessed. The ghd curve is my new obsession and sadly the trusty curling iron has been retired. I used the curling wand to curl my hair in the morning before we left Charlotte to head to Asheville. So let’s say around 10am. The wedding was at 4:30pm. I only had to touch up three sections before the wedding. Even after being in the car for a couple hours and being wind blown once stepping out of the car in Asheville. Not the mention the curls lasted ALL night. From the ceremony to the end of the reception after lots of crazy dancing with my stud.

The ghd curve curling wand is extremely easy to use. Aka no burning your fingers! One it comes with a little glove you can use but with the cool tip at the top of the wand, I didn’t even have to use it. The wand also beeps when you turn it on and then a couple seconds later when it’s heated up. Yes I said seconds! I was truly amazed when the wand heated up so quickly!

I’m pretty excited about this found love of mine as it also takes a fraction of the time to use a curling wand vs. a traditional curling iron. And what gal isn’t trying to decrease the time it takes to get ready?!

I cannot wait to play around with it again this coming weekend for the next three events! I’m going to try looser curls for one of the events, for sure. I also might try some fun updos. Make sure you follow along via snapchat {lauraleighlou} to see all of the hair and wedding excitement!

Also, what’s your take on the curling wand? Are you a big fan? Any tips you have for a newbie like myself? I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!  Contact me at [email protected] or comment below.
