5 Tips To Recover From A Gals Weekend

I think we can all agree there isn’t anything much better than a weekend away with gal pals {okay maybe a weekend away with your love BUT it’s a totally different kind of weekend}. These weekends can make Monday extra tough though! In some cases straight miserable. So today I’m sharing my top five tips for recovering a gals weekend and a couple items you can do to help take a little stress off your shoulders for the week ahead.

After a weekend in Atlanta with Emily and Corbin I definitely was in need of following these 5 tips myself last night!

  1. Drink lots of water – you either had a couple too many mimosas or indulged in far too many tasty eats. Am I right? I know this is a trend my gal pals and I tend to follow when we all get together. Champagne is our go to and we love to indulge in unique appetizers and fun main course dishes while eating out. Chances are those dishes involved a whole lot of salt {whether we realized it or not} which always causes the oh so wonderful bloat. Drinking lots of water is the BEST way to rehydrate and clear that salt out. Therefore my water bottle becomes my best friend Sunday. A gallon of water is what I aim for.
  2. Plan/prep your meals for the week – after all of that indulging it’s time to get back on the wagon and your regular diet. Even tightening up your typical diet would be a good call {help out with those possible two+ pounds you gained thanks to those sweet treats at the end of each meal}. I like to decide what I’m having for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the next five days. That way I’m less likely to slip up while at work and be sure I get back to feeling good!
  3. Prepare to do list – whether it’s what you need to do each day or what needs to get done Monday. Getting this together will help you feel organized and a little more ready to take on the week ahead. Another tip and something that helps take away a little pressure for me is picking out what to wear for the week. Having an idea of what I’m going to wear each day takes away some of the morning craziness and allows a couple extra zzz’s, which is always a good thing.
  4. Give yourself the spa treatment – this is my FAVORITE thing to do after a weekend away. Face mask, hair mask, take off nail polish and kick off the week with a new color, a nice shower, and loading up on lotion to hydrate my skin! These few steps are the best way to feel refreshed from the outside in. Not to mention feel a little more put together before the work week starts.
  5. Hit the hay early – this tip should come as no surprise! Catching up on zzzz’s is extremely important and one of the quickest ways to feel refreshed + recovered. Also no better way to start the week than being bright eyed and bushy tailed. We all know Monday’s are hard enough, being run down tired makes them straight unbearable!

Follow these five tips and your sure to recover from your gals weekend away in no time! What are some tips you have for recovering a gals weekend away? I would LOVE to take and use something for sure. Please share below if you have any good ones.
