Who’s finally feeling fall? We JUST started to here in Charlotte, NC. Temperatures are still in the 80s must days but mornings are chill and the humidity is gone {praise}. I seriously could not be happier that the cooler season has arrived. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! Dressing for the fall season is so much fun! There is such a wide variety of accessories you can add to your wardrobe to spice up a simple dress or jeans and a tee. Blanket scarves, booties, sweaters, tights, hats, and the list goes on. It’s the best time of the year, in my opinion!

For this list I teamed up with Old Navy + People StyleWatch to share #50Styles50States. Obviously I’m representing the fabulous North Carolina! Fall for us can be quite a roller coaster. Some days it’s in the 90s other days it’s in the 60s. Then there’s those perfect days in between when it’s 70-80 and the greatest little breeze is rolling through. With the constant change you have to be ready with layers. Therefore blanket scarves and sweaters are a must! Good thing I’m highly addicted to both of them! Come fall I have a scarf with me at all times. They’re the best to wrap up in when there’s a slight chill to a seriously cold goose bump inducing drop in the temp. 

For my look today, I went with an easy dress as my base. I then added a simple sweater around my waist and picked up a super cozy blanket scarf. Both layers are perfect additions for those cooler moments. Additionally I added a simple clutch to throw all the necessities in for the afternoon. Finishing off the look is one of my purchases from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I am finally getting to wear – my ankle booties. Y’all these booties are perfection! If you’re in the market for a pair, I highly recommend scooping these up. They’re SO comfy, great height, beautiful color, and the slightly pointed toe helps elongate the legs {win}.
