Who likes playing hooky? Spending the day in bed and preparing for the holidays. Sounds pretty great to me, what about you? While I’m not playing hooky {the wedding + honeymoon stole all my PTO days} Joshua and I have spent some mornings/afternoons lounging around our new place! With Christmas right around the corner now it’s all about online shopping for our loved ones and finding yummy recipes to whip up! Online shopping is such an advantage around this time of year. You don’t even need to leave the house. Just get everything delivered to your house and you’re good to go. There are so many aspects that businesses have to look into when it comes to online retail. All in all, the majority of people love online shopping for being convenient.

With all that said, I’m sharing some tips today with The Hot Sox Company for concurring your Christmas shopping list from home. Think afternoon in bed – comfortable, cozy, and productive! 

1. Prepare a mug of your favorite warm beverage – coffee, hot chocolate, or tea. In the morning, I’m all about tea. This gal needs a little caffeine! You’ll need this too to get through your full list! 

2. Make sure your laptop is 100% charged. Having to deal with the cord is such a pain while lounging in bed. Am I right? 

3. Have your Christmas shopping list handy. You’ll want to reflect back on it often. If you’re anything like me, you’ll also be extremely excited to cross people off your list once their items are purchased and on their way! Before getting started, I like to write out every  person I need to shop for. Then if I know what they want or what I’d like to purchase them I’ll write that next to their name. If I’m not sure or they haven’t shared their wish list, I’ll write 5 things next to their name. Such as their favorite hobby, food, sports team, drink, etc. 

4. Check your inbox. You want to make sure you have all discount codes possible. Right now stores are sending these codes out right and left. They aren’t always advertised on their site. Especially if they’re only for those on the email mailing list or cardholders. Therefore previous to purchasing, make sure you’ve checked everywhere you can for a discount code. You can find some current sales here. 

5. Write out your budget. Either per person or total. I like to put this on my list with everyone’s names. Then as I purchase gifts I’ll subtract that from my total budget for gifts. This helps to keep me {and maybe you} on track. Gift giving can really add up without you realizing, you and your bank account will be very thankful if the budget is stuck to! And if you’re like me…your husband too! 

6. Have on your comfiest {and cutest} pajamas! Most important right? If you’ve followed the blog for awhile you know I’m all about night shirts. I LOVE them! Probably due to my extremely love of dresses. At home, you’ll typically find me in a night shirt and spunky socks. I love some fun socks! How adorable are these santa ones? And since it’s my birthday week I had to rock these.
