Happy Friday! Hope you all have had a wonderful week. Yesterday I shared our weekend plans {find them here}. While they probably won’t involve a coffee break {I actually don’t like coffee} a lot of weekends {and week days} involve coffee shop dates with friends. So I figured why not share a cute casual look for those caffeine filled dates. This chambray shirtdress, lightweight sweatshirt, and sneaker combination would make for the perfect Saturday look. It’s comfy, easy, and gives you a light layer in case you run into a cold shop or restaurant.

I also wanted to introduce you to a really fun app called embe. It’s one of those apps you can spend hours on {maybe while at a coffee shop ha}. Embe allows you to turn your photos into jewelry. All you do is download the free app, upload your photo, create a 3-D file, and order. It’s truly that simple! With the app you have the ability to choose between a couple different shapes, materials, and colors. Shapes include square, round, heart, and star. For materials they have plastic, steel, and silver. And the color options varying depending on the material you choose.

I created a couple different pieces using photos from the blog, our wedding, and one of my niece. My two favorites have to be the one of my niece looking too cute in her sunglasses and the photo I use for Louella Reese across all media outlets {it’s my Meet Laura Leigh photo}. Both of these turned out really great!

The charm with the photo from Louella Reese is obviously for me to keep. I love having a piece of jewelry that represents my brand! Honestly, it’s a great reminder too. When I look down to keep pushing and also to reflect on how far I’ve come, even since taking that original photo.

The charm with my niece is actually for my sister. This will be her first Mother’s Day with the little one so I wanted to give her something special. A charm with her daughter’s sweet face on it is perfect I think!

A couple tips for when you create your charms on embe

Choose photos with a light and even background.

Keep the photos simple – not too much going on.

Test out different photos – spend some time playing around.

Have fun with it!

When you create some charms whether for yourself or something else in the embe app, share via social media and tag me! I’d love to see what you create.

Thank you to Embe for sponsoring this post! All views and opinions are of course my own.
