If you follow along with Louella Reese via Instagram you saw I hosted an event at Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte last Thursday. I shared the above photo as well as some sneak peeks of the event via IG stories. If you missed out, you’ll definitely want to continue reading. Some pretty exciting things happened!! Also, take a look back at my previous post with Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte where I shared a millennial’s take on cosmetic surgery + opened up the conversation.

So today, I wanted to share a little about the event as well as the office and what services they have to offer!

First, let’s kick it off with the event. Again, the event was last Thursday and due to the office obviously being opened during the day, the event was after hours from 6-8pm. With all the excitement though, it ended up going till after 9pm! Who knew aesthetics would be so much fun!

The night started with fun photos shot by Little Nest Portraits. Think photo booth minus the actual booth. We had a BLAST playing with props, shooting boomerangs {you have to see this one}, and snapping pics!

Once enough photos were shot to satisfy everyone we hung out in Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte’s GORGEOUS waiting area. I mean seriously, how pretty is the space above? I am obsessed with it. Like, can I move? Here there was mixing and mingling. Oh, and champagne. You can’t have a gals night without champagne, right?

Next, we all sat down to have a Q&A session with Dr. Augenstein. Ladies that attended sent their questions in prior to the event. Additionally, questions that popped into mind were asked while the discussion was going on. It was here we learned more about Botox, Fillers, Microneedling, skincare, and sunscreen. This was all incredibly informative! If you are interested in botox or another type of surgery then you can visit Renewus Medspa, which has the goal of making you look and feel your best. There are loads of differnet types of surgeries that you can get to help you get the look that you want. However, the decision is up to you for what you get it (or if you get it). If you do decide to get surgery then you should make sure that you do your research so that you only use a professional like Dr. Racanelli, but if you would like to find out more about discussion about these sort of things then carry on reading. One major takeaway from the session is to wear sunscreen, wear sunscreen, wear sunscreen, and don’t smoke! These two things will keep your skin looking younger and fresher. Everyone really enjoyed talking with Dr. Augenstein! He was incredibly helpful in answering every question that arose and giving a really detailed answer.

Lastly, there was a procedure performed by Dr. Augenstein for everyone to watch. Since Botox and Fillers are what a majority of patients our age {millennials} are interested in those were the two performed. Before photos were taken and were visible throughout for us to see the difference. For Botox the results aren’t immediate but with Fillers you instantly see the difference. Seeing the procedure done was quite the experience! If possible, I definitely recommend it. While I wasn’t scared to get Botox or Fillers, I’m not the biggest fan of needles so I was slightly nervous. Witnessing the injections definitely calmed those nerves.

To close out the night, we gave away two baskets full of serious goodies! So I would love to say thank you to all of those involved in those two baskets. So thank you to The Ballantyne Hotel, David’s LTD Jewelers, Ted Montana’s, Little Nest Portraits, and of course, Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte. Plus congratulations to Morgan of How 2 Wear It and Taylor Reese of Reese’s Hardware.

So now let’s dive into the serv Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte offers. I’m highlighting a couple I am personally interested in as well as those millennials are typically most interested in.

Microneedlingoriginally known as collagen induction therapy, is used as a treatment option in acne scars and for skin rejuvenation. Microneedling uses needles or ‘microneedles’ to achieve a therapeutic effect.

This is what I personally am most interested in. I have suffered from pretty terrible acne since my junior year of high school. As an adult, I’m still dealing with pimples {not cool}. From years of pimple after pimple and too much squeezing {I know, I know, it’s bad} I have quite a few acne scars on my face. I also deal with blackheads {gross} and absolutely cannot stand them. With microneedling it will pull up all of that dirt, help to heal scaring, and also rejuvenate the skin. For me, this procedure sounds like an all around win! Microneedling will also help with fine lines and wrinkles + stretch marked. Win, win, win! Find out more here.

Botoxa purified form of botulinum, injected in minute amounts especially to treat muscle spasms and relax facial muscles in order to reduce wrinkles.

I opened the discussion and shared my opinion of Botox here. You can find out more about Botox here.

FillersInjectable filler, a soft tissue filler injected into the skin to help fill in facial wrinkles, restoring a smoother appearance

Fillers help to fill {shocker} in those spaces in your face that are hollow or simply not as full as you’d like them to be. Fillers are very helpful for reducing creases and wrinkles. Fillers can also be used to plump up your lips. Who doesn’t want that?! Find out more about Fillers here.

You can find a full list of services offered at Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte here.

Thank you to Aesthetic Surgery of Charlotte for sponsoring this post! All views and opinions are of course my own!
