So as you know if you’ve followed Louella Reese at all the last month, then you know my mom and I recently visited Chateau Elan Winery & Resort for some relaxation and wine. It was the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day {just a couple of days late}. Chateau Elan Winery & Resort  happens to be a fabulous spot for a little getaway with your best gal pals! Lucky for us {and those in surrounding areas}, Chateau Elan is only about a three hour drive from Charlotte. A very easy drive in fact! The short drive makes it a great destination for a weekend getaway or short mid-week trip.

While I had taken a look at Chateau Elan via their website prior to visiting, I was still completely blown away when we drove in. The property is beyond beautiful! From the stunning Inn to the grape vines. We both could not wait to start exploring! And we truly did not take long to do so. Get ready to hear all about our trip and everything there is to do at Chateau Elan
Louella Reese Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Review // Georgia Winery Where To Stay:
Chateau Elan Inn – This is where my mom and I stayed. The guest rooms are absolutely gorgeous! Very serene and regal. They are designed to emulate a French country side estate. Lots of french blue, which I loved! Our guest room specially overlooked the pool. Which was amazing! We loved people watching in between exploring the property, wine tasting, and eating.

The Winery:
Wine Tastings & Tours – We took a winery tour our second day on property. We both throughly enjoyed learning more about the wine making process and what Chateau Elan is specifically doing with their wines. Touring behind the scenes was lots of fun too!
Following the wine tour we chose between three wine tasting options:
Southern Fox – my pick
The American
Old World – my mom’s pick
I just recently started liking wine so I had such a blast trying out different wines! I found several I loved! I even purchased two when we completed the tasting. I went with Duncan Creek Red and Summer Wine
I highly recommend partaking in the wine tasting and tour. They’re both so fun and informative! And you are visiting a winery & resort after all.

Cellar Door – This is the beautiful bar that sits inside of the winery. Here you’re able to purchase all of Chateau Elan’s wines. Sit at the bar, surrounding tables, or outside and enjoy your wine of choice!

If you live in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, or Florida you can order their wine online! Hint, hint Joshua. Louella Reese Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Review // Georgia Winery

Where To Eat:
Marc – lunch and dinner
We ate here our first night. Which also happened to be the opening night for the restaurant. We both ordered wine and spent several minutes reviewing the menu. There were so many tasty items on the menu, we had a very hard time deciding! Both of us were completely blown away by what we ordered and the amazing service. A must dine at spot on property!
What I ate: Hand Crafter Charcuterie + Brasstown Beef Filet with Garlic Swiss Chard. Dessert Trio too!
Le Soleil Pool Bar – light refreshments and drinks, friday-sunday from noon to 6pm
Versailles – breakfast, lunch, and dinner {offer buffet style
We ate breakfast here each morning. We both loved the buffet. So many options to choose from. From healthy to completely sinful. Whatever you’re in the mood for!
What I ate: fresh fruit, toast, and the best grits!
L’Auberge Lounge – light snacks and dinner
Paddy’s Irish Pub – dinner monday-friday, lunch and dinner saturday-sunday
This is where we had dinner the final night. The decor and overall structure of the pub feels as though they transported it straight from Ireland. Very fun atmosphere.
What I ate: Irish Flag Salad + a side of Pub Fries! All about balance!
Golf Grille – breakfast and lunch + light snacks and full bar until 6pm
Fleur-de-Lis – lunch daily, breakfast saturday and sunday
This was probably my favorite spot. We ate here for lunch our second day. We’re both into salads, hummus, and light appetizers so this was definitely a match made in heaven for us! Once we spotted the menu we were honestly so excited to order and eat!! Everything was incredible. Another must eat spot on property.
What I ate: Georgia Peanut Hummus {the best ever} + Hydro Bibb Lettuce with Grilled chicken. Louella Reese Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Review // Georgia Winery

Things To Do & See:
Spa – Okay, let’s me honest, being gals, we’re all interested in the spa! Chateau Elan offers quite the oasis and a variety of services. Go for one service or stay the whole afternoon! I personally vote for the Chateau Elite Deep Tissue Massage and Chateau Essentials Facial.
Le Soleil Swimming Pool – This is an absolute must if you go during the warmer season. Grab your gal pals and spend the day by the pool soaking up some rays! The pool is so gorgeous. Lots of space for all of you to lay out, swim, and grab a drink + snack.
Bikes & Trails – My mom and I hiked one of the trails. It was a great way to grab some exercise and participate is some girl talk. Definitely recommend doing this with the gals in the morning before all of your other activities.
Tennis – Three clay courts and four hard courts. The perfect place to challenge your bestie to a little match!
The Vineyards – While I talked about the winery above, I personally loved gouging through the vineyards. You do it a little on the hiking trail but take a leisurely walk down one of the rows to check out the beautiful vines.
Cooking Classes – Tell me this wouldn’t be an absolute blast with your besties. Challenge on to see who the best cook is! Louella Reese Chateau Elan Winery & Resort Review // Georgia Winery
Now for the best part! Today Chateau Elan is giving away ONE overnight stay plus breakfast for two. If chosen, bring your best gal pal {maybe your mom} for a little gals getaway to Chateau Elan.
