Blue Bell Sleeve Dress // Two Ways

An item you probably didn’t know you needed in your closet, a blue bell sleeve dress. Sharing two ways to style the must have item for summer!

New favorite dress alert. Seriously, I’m obsessed with this little blue number. Like 100% serious, is it okay if I wear it once a week {okay what I really mean is every other day}? I’ve now decided that this aqua color is my favorite shade of blue. So if you see anything in this color, send it my way. I’ll probably buy it immediately {sorry hubs}.

Anyways, similar to last Tuesday’s post, I wanted to share two different ways to style this dress. I feel like many people may see it as an occasion dress or work only dress. That is just NOT true! While the dress is definitely great for special occasions {weddings, engagement parties, date nights, etc..} and work {work parties too}, it’s also appropriate for so many additional occasions.

The bell sleeves and bright color make the dress playful and summery! While the style and shape allow the dress to be worn for more sophisticated occasions/events. For me, I’m taking this dress from the office to drinks with the gals and more.

For the dressed up look, I added an extra dose of blue with my forever favorite satchel. Which is currently 50% off, just FYI. Then, for footwear, I wanted to allow the dress + handbag to take center stage. Therefore, I chose nude sandals. This pair is very comfortable {aka I can wear for hours and hours} and they’re under $60.

To make the dress a little more casual, I just added two things. A utility jacket and leather band watch. By adding these two items and keeping everything else the same, I was able to easily take this dress from office to cocktails. Something I think a lot of us would like to do! Bringing a change of clothes to work is never fun, do you change at work and have everyone see you? Go into the restaurant, change, and take your work outfit back to the car? Or do the oh so fun changing in the car? Skip all of that and go for a dress that allows you to easily add a couple of accessories {or additional clothing item} that will make the transition a breeze.

P.S. Don’t forget the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is currently going on! Everyone that is a card holder currently has early access. Thursday I shared my favorite picks from the sale {view here} and Friday I shared a fitting room try on session at Nordstrom {view here}.

This is such a beautiful dress – especially on you! Blue is one of my favorite colors so of course I already love it, but those amazing sleeves make it ten times better! Also loving how you paired it with that utility jacket to switch it up a bit!
