I mentioned this last week here, this summer has been a HOT one! Days in the upper 90s with humidity making it feel 100+. While we lucked out in Savannah and it wasn’t too, too hot. There was still quite a bit of humidity. Therefore, I was reaching for light, easy dresses. This blue linen tunic dress was a great option for the heat. One it’s linen, so that’s always a good idea when dealing with heat + humidity. Two, the shape keeps the dress off your skin, allowing you to have a little breeze and not so much sweat {yay!}.

As a forewarning this dress is quite see through. I would recommend wearing a light slip or wearing as a coverup. I went for a slip, loose slip for exploring and the coverup route come beach time. Who doesn’t love a dress that plays double duty?!

Even though we were only in Savannah for 24 hours we did a LOT of exploring. I realized I love Savannah a lot more than I had thought. Previously, I viewed it as dirty version of Charleston {sorry Savannah folks} but now, I love it. While there are still areas that aren’t the cleanest, there are several beautiful squares and neighborhoods. Also, the main street, Broughton Street, is quite cute. Very similar to King Street in Charleston. There are so many shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors. So what I’m saying, if you’re like I was and not so sure about Savannah, give it a shot! You’ll probably be pleasantly surprised as well.

Joshua and I have plans to go back soon and I plan on exploring a lot more! Stay tuned though, in the coming weeks I’ll be sharing a 24 hour Savannah Travel Guide

Cute outfit and I love that little purse!! I actually have the same view of Savannah- I have only been for a bachelorette party and it wasn’t the best experience. Maybe I’ll check it out again one day but I feel like I’d just rather go to Charleston because it’s closer!

  6. The humidity can certainly make the heat feel so much hotter and worse than it is! That looks like the perfect dress to be out in the humid and heat!
