Fun fact: I LOVED tie dye when I was younger. By that I mean, I wore it regularly and convinced my mom to let me tie dye items on a regular basis. I’m talking t-shirts, shorts, totes, hair scrunchies {yes I was that cool}, sweatshirts, and I’m sure other items too. Since my obsession was so huge in my younger days, I really steered clear of it middle school on. I think I wore the trend too often, I wore it out ha.

Now 13+ years later {ewww that makes me feel so old} I’m back on the tie dye bandwagon. Joshua was super surprised when I pulled this dress on one day but I honestly loved it instantly. I found myself really drawn to it. If tie dye doesn’t say fun summer vacation I don’t know what does. Okay, maybe a palm tree or flamingo print more so but you get the point, right? Tie dye is fun, exciting, and playful. Which I’m pretty sure that’s what vacation is suppose to be all about!!! So let’s all kick it old school and reach for some tie dye. One tip though, keep it monochromatic. That’ll keep you looking more chic than childish.

So what’s your take on the trend? Yay or nay? Share your thoughts below in a comment. I’d love to hear. I’d also LOVE to hear a trend/style you loved as a tiny tot {or middle schooler}. Getting to know y’all more is my favorite! Plus it’s so fun to hear what some people loved when they were little vs. what you loved. So leave a comment, let’s chat and have some gal time.

Also, can we take a second to talk about the background of these photos. I am obsessed with the historic district of Savannah. Every little inch has SO much character. From the building to the sidewalks to the plants + trees. I wanted to spend forever exploring each square as they were very different when you took a closer look at them. If you’re traveling to Savannah anytime soon, I’d highly recommend setting aside a couple of hours to explore each little square. My favorite one was featured here in this post

P.S. Pretty random but I’m exciting about it. Tupelo Honey now offers to go services woohoo! So you can order your favorite southern meal for pick up and indulge at home. Place an order and use code “TH20Louella” for 20% off.

Check out previous looks from Savannah here, here, and here. I’ll be sharing my final look next week. Then it’s on to St. Simons Island looks. Woohoo!

This made me giggle – primarily because I loved tie-dye just as much when I was younger (and still think it’s pretty fun). I love that this dress is full of that youthful print, but still “grown up” enough for us now! It’s really pretty!
