A Husband’s Take On Fashion Blogging

Joshua’s making an appearance today to share a husband’s take on fashion blogging! It’s bound to be entertaining.

I have learned that y’all love hearing from Joshua. In fact, I think you might like him better than you like me. I would take that personally except I like him better than I like me. So therefore, we agree, Joshua is better! He’s funnier, cuter, and a whole more patient {and lots of other things}. So I decided to let him have the blog today.

So today, Joshua will be diving into the topic of fashion blogging and what his take is on the whole thing! As well as, share his thoughts + opinions on some of the latest fashion trends.

  1. Had you heard about blogging prior to meeting Laura Leigh? Yes, but I didn’t really know anything about it. Very limited knowledge if I did have any.
  2. When Laura Leigh told you she had a fashion blog, what were your thoughts? What did you picture it looking like? I thought it was cool, again didn’t know too much about blogging. Seemed like a cool side project for her to have. I pictured it just being photos of clothes. Kind of like a typical website. Image of a piece of clothing and a little description along with it.
  3. How would you describe being a blogger/what a blogger does? A fashion blogger is someone that is on the cutting edge of all of the fashion trends. Someone that knows what’s coming out for the upcoming season and how to style it. Bloggers do a lot of things. They do A LOT of shopping {online and in the store}, buy a lot of clothes, style those clothing items several different ways, and provide their take on trends. As well as lots of planning, collaborating, and organizing due to all the content you have. Also how to make it all flow well. There’s quite a bit going on behind the scenes, it’s not all about taking photos. Attend several events for restaurants, shops, and festivals. These are pretty cool but definitely take up a lot of time!
  4. You use to be Laura Leigh’s photographer, how was what? Created some arguments. (Laura is quite picky) BUT it was also a lot of fun! I enjoyed doing it until it started taking up a majority of our weekends. At that point we decided it would be better to have someone else so we could better enjoy our weekends and time together!Check out Joshua’s photography Instagram here
  5. What are your roles as an Instagram husband {aka blogger husband}?Being her number one supporter. Always! Taking lots of boomerangs and IG photos. Waiting to eat my meal until after a photo is taken. Spreading the word about Laura Leigh’s blog. Always being a promoter!
  6. Tips for being an Instagram husband {aka blogger husband} Patience. Also, enjoy all of the experiences you get to experience because of her hard work. Create some fun memories at the different events or trips you get to take with her.
  7. What’s your least favorite trend Laura Leigh has tried {and still wears}? Oversized sunglasses
  8. Lastly, if you HAD to start a blog, what would it be about? What would it be called?I would probably create a travel blog. With the focus being on national parks. Mainly because I would love to visit more (as many as possible). I would call it Living Part of Life

Aw thanks Amanda! I’m really glad you liked it. Oh that is SO nice that your mom is a photographer. My mom actually took my photos first but that lead to a lot of arguments haha so to Joshua it went.

I love this post!! I was just talking to my boyfriend about how he may eventually make appearances on my blog. It’s a job that definitely affects them. They can either get on board or hate it. I love that your husband supports you!
