Home Items Purchased:

We purchased a painting while in Savannah but that was all. Fun fact: Joshua and I collect artwork from our travels. A special way to always remember our trips together.

Where I Went:

This month was a pretty busy one with travels. Joshua and I made our way to Savannah to celebrate our one year anniversary. We had the absolute best time exploring {we walked 4-6 miles every day} and eating our way through the charming southern town. Some of our favorites include The Collins Quarter, The Olde Pink House, Tequila Town {$2 margaritas during happy hour}, and Leopold’s for ice cream.

The next weekend I headed to St. Simons Island with Morgan for a media trip with The King and Prince. We stayed there for three nights and had the opportunity to really explore the island. More to come on that trip later this week!

Movies Watched:

Megan Leavey  – I think I’ve mentioned this before but I love military movies. Not sure why but I am always drawn to them. Therefore, this one was my pick. I thought the movie was wonderful and that Kate Mara did an amazing job {she is so beautiful}. However, it did move a little slow. There were times I was ready for it to speed up and move to what was next. Overall though, I would recommend the movie.
Baby Driver – This was Joshua’s pick. I had been interested in watching it too though, mainly for Ansel Elgort haha. Ansel was seriously incredible! He rocked this role, truly believe it was made for him. The movie had a lot of unexpected turns and was pretty different. Highly recommend this one for a fun, exciting, and different movie.

Recipes Tried:

Chocolate Chip Scones with Pumpkin Granola – this was my first try at scones and I have to say, I am a big fan now. This recipe is incredibly easy and very fall!
Clean Eating Chili – as soon as cooler temps arrive, Joshua and I are all about chili. This is a great cleaner option. Very delicious too!

Reading:

With this month being so busy, I have not picked up a book once. Joshua and I did have a date at Barnes and Noble this weekend though and I scooped up a new one. So hopefully I’ll start and finish that one in November. I’ll keep you posted!

TV Shows Watched/Watching:

I just finished watching Parenthood via Netflix. I surprisingly happy with how everything ended and the way they shared a peek into each main characters life in the future. Definitely one of my favorite series to date! For current shows, I’m all about Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. I have to say, don’t hate me for this, I am not loving Scandal AT ALL this season. I’ll obviously watch as I want to know how it ends but I haven’t really liked a single episode. Anyone with me on that?

Take a look back at my recaps from SeptemberAugustJulyJune, May, and April
