Louella Reese Fall Capsule Wardrobe: Jeans & A Tee Shirt

Two obvious items to have in your fall capsule wardrobe, jeans and a simple white tee shirt . Sharing three ways to style the items today!

Back with another round of Louella Reese Fall Capsule Wardrobe! This time, I’m styling a serious basic combination, jeans + a tee shirt. It’s a serious go to for a lot of us. Especially on the weekend. The combination is easy, comfortable, and doesn’t take a whole lot of thought. To spice up the basic combination plus provide some warmth for cooler fall days, I’ve paired the two pieces with some layering items.

Much like the rest of the capsule wardrobe posts, I’m sharing three ways to style the combination. All three are on the casual side but are appropriate for several occasions. As well as temperatures! We all know how crazy Mother Nature can be in the fall. 85+ degrees some days and low 50s other days. Therefore, a variety of layering pieces are needed. All of which have been included in the last two installments of the capsule wardrobe. See them here paired with a classic mini skirt and here with a simple midi skirt

look 3: c/o vest {under $40}| c/o handbag | flats | sunglasses

Look one is the most casual of the three. Also, the simplest. To add a little warmth, I reached for this cropped zip up hoodie. A great piece for layering while also giving you a fun sporty vibe. Tell me hoodies don’t remind you of high school and college days. Being all cozy and casual walking around campus. Oh, those were the days! Much like in school as well, I paired this combination with a backpack. A grown up version though! Another awesome piece for days when you’re feeling a little more casual and you have lots to carry.

Look two simply has the utility jacket layered over the cropped zip up hoodie. Providing a little extra warmth when the temperatures drop. With the backpack, you can easily carry the jacket when the extra layer isn’t needed. I’m telling you, this utility jacket is the most versatile piece. If you don’t have one in your closet, I highly recommend picking one up. You’ll find yourself reaching for it over and over again! See it paired with a skirt here and here

The final look, is probably my favorite, and definitely the most “dressed up“. I believe this combination is perfect for fall day dates or weekend brunch with friends. The blush tones provide a sweet feminine feel and the structured tote offers a nice polished touch. If blush isn’t your hue, the tote does come in black and blue indigo {navy} as well.
