Olive Wrap Coat Dressed Down | Asheville, NC

Styling the olive wrap coat from Tuesday post another way.  Showcasing way I think it’s the perfect transitional wrap coat!

This coat may look familiar, I just styled it here on the blog Tuesday {see here}. I wanted to show you how versatile the coat is for transitioning from dressy to casual and fall to winter. Also, before diving into full on holiday content {so many exciting things hitting the blog over the next month} I wanted to share one final fall to winter look. This combination is one you would find me often if running into each other around town and/or at events. A sweater/coat, boyfriend jeans, pumps, and my go to handbag. It’s an easy, comfortable combination. While also being very warm! Which for someone who is ALWAYS cold, that is very important.

Before, talking more about the coat {I shared my love for it here} I wanted to take a moment to talk about these pumps. I don’t think I have told y’all how amazing they are yet {whoops, sorry}. To start off this gold metallic goes with just about everything. While also being incredibly easy to dress up {see them paired with a dress here} or dress down. However, if metallics aren’t your thing, they also come in black, navy, and red. The pumps are also the comfiest things ever! Truly, it’s as though you’re wearing a fabulous pair of flats. I’ve worn them for hours upon hours and while in Asheville, for lots of exploring/walking. What I’m saying is I would highly recommend these if you’re looking for a comfy pump option. Or even just something a little different from your go to flat.

Back to the coat, this transitional wrap coat is perfect for moving from fall to winter. An item that can be layered over several items or layered under an extra warm plush coat. The wrap coat itself provides a lot of warmth but we all know once winter truly arrives, lots of layers are needed.

The transitional wrap coat is also great at taking you from one occasion to the next. While it definitely adds a certain chic factor to your look. Pulling everything together! I love it dressed down in today’s post with boyfriend jeans. The combination really plays into the cozy feel over the coat. While being dressed up here, plays into that chic factor I was talking about. Those are just two ways to wear the coat. I could also see it being paired with a voluminous midi skirt, white button down blouse, and a gorgeous pair of heels. On the opposite end, I could also see the coat worn over a chunky sweater, skinny jeans, and riding boots. This is one versatile piece in my opinion!

    • Thank you Hilary! I wasn’t sure how the look would turn out, I was thinking the jeans may be too baggy. So I’m very happy to hear you say that!
