Where I Went:
Asheville, NC was my big trip for the month. Lacey of The Glitter Gospel and I took a long weekend there, the first week of November. We lucked out and hit peak leaf season. It was truly breathtaking! If you haven’t experienced Asheville during the leaf season, you need to make it happen! Read more about my trip here.
We were also suppose to have a fun staycation with a place here in charlotte but unfortunately I was too sick. We rescheduled for late December and now I am just itching to go and share with y’all! Stay tuned!

Movies Watched:
Beauty and the Beast – Beauty and the Beast was my favorite movie as a child. Like many of y’all, I cannot tell you how many times I watched it between the ages of five and ten. I was nervous to watch the remake, I won’t lie. I didn’t want it to ruin my childhood memory of the movie. Finally I caved though. Phewwww! The childhood memory was not ruined and now I just want to watch the remake over and over again! Emma Watson was absolutely amazing and they did such an incredible job on the beast. I just loved it!
Our Souls at Night – so I really liked this movie. Joshua, not so much. It was a very old soul kind of romantic movie. Slow moving but oh so sweet. I would recommend watching with your girl friends or if your guy has a real sappy side, he may enjoy as well.

Recipes Tried:
Easy Turkey Broccoli Pasta Dinner – incredibly easy and such a fun twist on traditional pasta. Joshua and I were both big fans.
Sweet Potato, Beef, & Egg Skillet – upgraded breakfast for dinner. Really tasty! The recipe is super easy and looks incredibly impressive once completed. I did nix the bacon, I’m not a fan. Then added avocado and salsa on top.
Cranberry Winter Cookies – sweet, light, and packed with flavor!

Reading:
If you’ve been reading these monthly recaps for awhile now you may remember me mentioning a morning devotional/prayer book. Well I finished that one about two months ago and picked up another one by the same author the first week of November. I’m a huge fan and love starting my mornings with this book. Find them both below!
5 Minutes with Jesus: A Fresh Infusion of Joy
5 Minutes with Jesus: Peace for Today

TV Shows Watched/Watching:
I just wrapped up season one of This Is Us and am starting season two now. I am hooked! I love it! Still trying to decide who my favorite character is. Seriously just love them all!
For current shows, I’m still all about Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. Still not really into Scandal this season but trying to hang on till the finale.
Joshua and I are also finishing up the Netflix series Longmire. It’s SO good and suspenseful. We have just one episode left! Eek!
