Oh Monday, we meet again. Luckily, this weekend was fun, productive, and restful. Everything a weekend should be. So I’m coming back from the weekend feeling ready to concur another week. What about you? I hope you had an amazing weekend and you’re ready to take on the week as well. We can do this y’all!!

On to today’s post, I’m really excited to share something a little different with you today. I don’t know about you but I am a HUGE fan of pattern mixing. Especially when it comes to layering and mixing my accessories with my key pieces. Which is exactly what I’m doing with today’s look. I went with black watch pants {last seen here} and a larger scale plaid scarf. They’re super similar in the colors included in their pattern and their actual pattern {plaid} is quite similar. So even though they’re both patterns, because of the similarities, they aren’t fighting one another to be the center of attention {unlike us and our siblings haha}.

If you’re new to pattern mixing or want to spice up the way you mix your patterns, today’s post is for you! I’m sharing 10 ways to mix patterns like a fashion blogger. Grab inspiration from myself {today’s look} and several other bloggers who are absolutely killing the pattern mixing game!  With each “tip” for pattern mixing below is a link to a blogger that is perfectly displaying that mix. Comment below and share your favorite one!

These are great tips! personally I love matching two patterns of different scales — like a larger pattern on top with a tighter pattern on my lower half. It takes some experimenting and planning for sure! And sometimes the confirmation of a friend that I don’t look crazy, haha.

    • Haha I totally understand that! I often send photos to my mom or best friend before walking out of the house when pattern mixing.
