This year is already flying by {don’t they all} and March is right around the corner {literally, next week}. Were are parent’s not right when they said every year will go faster than the next?
Last year, I really fell in love with traveling. While I had always been a fan, last year that love hit an all time high. In 2017, I had the opportunity to visit a lot of places within driving distance from Charlotte. Which I love! Three to four day trips where I can drive to the destination are my favorite. Just so easy and you can go on more, since they’re closer and more affordable {most of the time}. What about you? A fan of several shorter or one to two long trips away?
So since the year is flying by and I want to make sure my travel itch is fulfilled this year, I put together a 2018 Travel Wish List. Containing places both near and kinda far. Take a look at where I want to travel to this year and see if we share any of the same travel wish list destinations!
2018 Travel Wish List: New York City/NYFW
Okay, this is kind of cheating since I just arrived back from here less than a week ago. However, attending NYFW has been a dream of mine since first visiting NYC in middle school. Therefore, it was absolutely number one on my 2018 travel wish list. Even being in the city during fashion week was incredible {and enough for me}, attending shows/presentations was just icing on the cake.
2018 Travel Wish List: Austin, Texas
Some of you may know, my original blogger bestie {aka first blogger friend} Corbin moved to Austin a little over a year and a half ago. Since the moment we found out she was moving there were talks of me coming to visit. Sadly, that didn’t happen in 2017 but I am all about making it happen in 2018. One to see Corbin and two to experience Texas! I want to go to rodeos and honky-tonks, and buy a pair of fabulous cowboy boots. I’ve already signed up for flight alerts so this trip is basically in the books already. Can’t wait! P.S. if you have restaurant or shop recommendations, send them my way {[email protected]}.
2018 Travel Wish List: Palm Beach, Florida
Right now I am dreaming of warm weather, wearing a swimsuit, and feeling the sun on my skin. Therefore, Palm Beach, Florida sounds amazing right now. Another reason this place is on my 2018 travel wish list is all the bright colors this city has been painted. From hotels to the restaurants to the shops and everywhere in between. Every spot I have seen seems totally my style. So the itch to go here is pretty scratchy {cheesy enough for you haha}.
2018 Travel Wish List: Tybee Island, Georgia
This cute little island has been on my travel wish list for quite some time. Joshua and I almost went here last year and the previous year my family almost vacationed here. Every time we make plans to go, we end up somewhere else. So in 2018 I would like to make Tybee Island happen. If you’ve been, I would love to hear your thoughts on the island and any recommendations you have!
2018 Travel Wish List: A Mountain Ranch
Okay, this may sound super silly but I have always wanted to go to a dude ranch or an old mountain ranch resort. I think partially because I have a random love affair with farms {and farm animals}. Joshua’s family visited a dude ranch out west when he was younger and since hearing about it my desire to visit one has grown astronomically. Therefore, I’ve already put plans in place to make this one happen, this year. We’ll be going in May and the farm girl in me couldn’t be more excited! If you’ve been to one and have recommendations as to what to wear/pack please let me know! We’ll be riding horses and doing lots of exploring.
Love reading lists like these. they’re so inspiring. I’m going to make a little one for myself and Palm beach is definitely on the list. xoxo

I went to Austin once during ACL, I LOVED It. But would love to go back non festival style. Its such an amazing city and the texmex is out of this world.

I am dying to go back to NY! I spent 4 days there once and it was non-stop! Had to fit in as much as I could!! I love Austin too…and San Antonio and so many other locations around that area. If you do Austin, make a stop through New Braunfels!

Oh my goodness I love to travel, but rarely get to! As a kid, we did family vacations, but never went anywhere outside of the east coast – though I guess it’s cool that I can say I’ve been to every east coast state. However, now I’m craving getting away from my coast and exploring the rest of the country and the world! Take me with you haha!
