Yes, it’s still August and yes I just talked about what to cross off your late summer bucket list last week. BUT let’s be honest, fall isn’t too far into the future. Also, if you’re anything like me, you may still want to shop for the current season. Items you can wear now but also know you’ll be able to wear them later, when the new season arrives. And that’s where today’s post comes in!
Last week, I styled this crochet cardigan for summer with a striped tee and shorts. So today, I’m sharing how I would style it for later. Later being either late summer evenings or when fall officially arrives.

Truthfully, I’ve been living in all of the pieces included in today’s post as of late. Paired together and separately. I have finally found the perfect basic white tee shirt. It’s soft, the perfect length for tucking into high-waisted items, and the sleeves are a great length with room. Aka they aren’t too tight, too capped, or too long. A total win in my mind!
Sizing: I would say the tee fits a little fitted, I opted for a medium for a little looser of a fit.
I think I mentioned this last week but this crochet cardigan wasn’t one of those immediate have to have pieces. Honestly, I looked over it initially when the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale first came out. But then completely fell in love with it, stalked it till in came back in stock in this color and my size, and immediately purchased. Now I’m hooked and wearing it tons. The cardigan is great for light layering now and will allow for plenty of underneath layers once temperatures lower.
Sizing: The cardigan is only offered in two sizes XS/S and M/L – it runs large so if you’re in between, I would go for the smaller size.
Finally, these jeans. Goodness, I could sing their praises from our roof! They are pure perfection. I have never in my life had a pair of jeans fit just right, the way these do. The high-waist is higher but not like uber high. The fit through the legs has room but not the baggy boyfriend jean feel. Most importantly, they make your butt look really good haha. But seriously, they’re the comfiest jeans I’ve ever worn.
Sizing: They run TTS.
