Spice Up Your Winter Date Night Look

Anyone already bored of their go to winter looks? I am! So I’m spicing up winter date night with a gingham winter maxi skirt.

I am back with one of my most favorite pieces – this gingham maxi skirt. This is a piece that transcends all seasons and has remained a favorite of mine for over a year now. I’ve styled it for summer – a simple classic look and three ways for vacation AND winter – with a preppy sweatshirt  and dressed up for holiday. Now that we’re back in the winter season, I’m styling it again. This time, for date night (would also work for church, brunch, or girls night)

Anyone else completely live for date night? I am ALL about them! I love getting out, grabbing something yummy, and enjoying some time with my guy. Especially when it gives me the opportunity to dress up a bit and see him looking a little snazzy (all the heart eyes). While I love to dress up, I also love to stay warm and be cozy. It is winter after all. Therefore, a sweater is almost always involved!

So today, I’m pairing the cutest pommed heart sweater with my favorite winter maxi skirt (calling it a winter maxi skirt as it totally works for the season). A little pro tip: wear leggings, stockings, or thermals under your maxi skirt for extra warmth. I’m wearing star print thermal leggings under the skirt in these photos.

Now temps around you may call for an additional layer, so if so, my top picks would be a simple denim jacket, faux fur coat, or a fabulous shearling coat. All of them would look amazing over this look. Go with whatever one matches your personal style best and reflects the place you’re headed on date night.

What would you pair with this winter gingham maxi skirt?

I’ll be honest – I rarely dress up for date night anymore. My man loves me in casual clothing. Buuuuut spicing things up isn’t always a bad idea. It sure is nice to get a jaw drop every once in a while. I love the idea of this beautiful gingham skirt! You look stunning!
