After visiting Beech Mountain this past weekend, I am in full on winter mode. Especially since it finally feels like winter here in Charlotte and is only suppose to get colder over the next week. Therefore, I’m pulling out all of the mittens, gloves, beanies, and scarves to keep me cozy and warm. Luckily, in preparation for our ski trip I picked up a few new cold weather accessories such as this chunky knit pom beanie (super similar) and this striped pom beanie. Also, the trip gave me an opportunity to pull out my brand new mittens (obsessed).
Since y’all have been loving the snaps I’ve shared from our weekend and all of the cozy accessories, I thought I would share some of the best 2019 cold weather accessories out there right now for you to shop! Since February is typically the coldest month, right now is the perfect opportunity to stock up. Especially because so many of these items are already on sale!
Mittens
I shared this mitten story on my Instagram last night, so if you read it there, you can skip the next few lines. On a ski trip when I was youngster (we went to Vermont, I think I was about six), my dad and I arrived at the mountain base, he put my skis on, and went to put gloves on me. I immediately said no, I wanted mittens. To which he responded, I just bought you these gloves though. To which I responded with a FULL on meltdown. I. WANTED. MITTENS. So back to the store we went, I picked out my mittens and I was one happy gal. I am more than certain my dad couldn’t wait to hand me off to the instructor! So needless to say, I’m a mitten gal through and through!
Gloves
While gloves aren’t at the top of my list haha I know they are for some of y’all! And it is always a good idea to at least have one great pair of gloves. I personally am all about chic leather gloves. They were my go to in NYC last year for NYFW – opted to have a little fun with them and choose a pair in blush and one in hunter green (NYFW looks). Also, can we talk about how cozy and warm these gloves look? Definitely on my wish list.
Beanies
Fun Fact: Joshua is obsessed with beanies come winter. Fun Fact #2: Now I am too. They are so cozy, warm, and completely save you from bad hair days/having to do your hair! There are SO many cute options available right now! If you’re all about colors, this chunky knit beanie was made for you! If you’re more of a neutral gal, you need this chunky one in your life! Somewhere in between? Then I’m thinking this pretty little one that is currently on sale!
Scarves
Last but not least, scarves! Such a great option for bundling up and staying warm. While I actually didn’t wear one while in Beech Mountain (I had too many other layers on, I don’t think I could fit one around my neck haha), they are my absolute favorite. Scarves again, keep you super warm but also add so much to your look! Whether it’s a pop of color or a simple accent, a scarf can make a big impact. If I were to recommend one scarf for you to buy this season, hands down it would be this fabulous one! I have it and am quite literally obsessed – I reach for it more times than not and it is just the softest thing ever. (see it styled for fall and a winter look will be coming soon).
