WHERE I WENT

Charleston, SC – I chatted all about this trip on Monday – you’ll find a review of Hotel Bella Grace, a travel diary, and answers to the questions ya’ll sent me via Instagram about Hotel Bella Grace and Charleston.

Wrightsville, NC – We spent Easter weekend in Wrightsville with my in-laws. Including my sister in-law and soon to be brother in-law. We all chatted about the fact that we hadn’t been to Wrightsville in YEARS (ten years or more for all of us). Which we all agreed was crazy as it is such a cute beach town! We spent three days on the beach soaking up the sun while also indulging is so many of the wonderful local joints. Including Trolly Stop – an absolute must when visiting Wrightsville.

MOVIES WATCHED

The Mule – Clint Eastwood still has it! I can’t he is still producing, acting, and killing the game. You can definitely tell he’s getting up there but he brings it! This movie keeps you on the the edge of your seat at times, pulls at your heart strings, and keeps you entertained. A great movie to watch with your guy or your dad (we watched with my dad). Will warn you, there’s one sex scene that’s a little awkward.

The Perfect Date – Nowhere, I repeat NOWHERE near as good as To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. To be honest, Noah didn’t bring it in this movie. He’s cheesy and trying to hard in my opinion. A good movie to watch while we’re doing something else but otherwise kind of a waste of time. Sorry Noah, still love ya!

Instant Family – Favorite movie we watched this month. This movie had us rolling with laughter and also totally made me cry. It’s a feel good movie that’ll leave you with a smile. Great movie to watch with family or for date night.

RECIPES TRIED

Made the yummiest high fat cookies for low carb/high fat days. Going to work on getting the nutrition down and will be sharing soon! FWTFL people, trust me, you want to check back for this one!

Brownie Fat Bombs – so yummy! Highly recommend!

WHERE WE ATE

Hickory Tavern – we dined here for a media dinner one Friday night and had the best experience! We were at the Ballantyne location and the service was spot on. Not to mention the dishes we tried – pow pow shrimp, 9th street steak & cheese flatbread, and BBQ chicken flat bread. YUM!

Whitewater Center – this was our date spot for the month of April! Each month we make a point to plan one date night/day in advance. April was a day date at the Whitewater Center – one of our favorite spots! We ate lunch at the restaurant, walked around the center, and then set up an eno hammock and took a nice nap together. Honestly, day dates are my favorite!

SouthBound – went here on girls night with three of my best pals! We went all out with guacamole, tacos, and margaritas and/or beer. Mexican really is the best for girls nights! Service wasn’t great but the food was spot on. Definitely will be back for chips + margaritas and their carne asada taco!

WHAT I WATCHED

Finished both seasons of Riverdale. Still completely obsessed with Jughead and absolutely dying for season three to be added to Netflix. Hoping it arrives sooner rather than later. Missing my daily Jughead fix! Also, just really need to know what is happening! Joshua and I are also still watching Designated Survivor. We’re now on season two. Still completely hooked and loving it.

FAVORITE FINDS

FITNESS UPDATE

I am still doing FASTer Way to Fat Loss and still have a little knee issue holding me back from doing the workouts 100%. I am back to walking and can do sprints once a week. However, I have yet to do a leg work out since the first week of February. Hoping to get back to that next week! Sticking to the eating/schedule basically 100%. Have definitely gone over macros several weekend days due to celebrations, vacations, and Easter. However, sticking with it through the week is keeping me at the same weight, so I am happy!  If you’re interested in finding out. more about FWTFL you can read about my FWTFL experience, FWTFL vs. BBG, and low carb day tips/recommendations  – all on my health & fitness page

Thanks for including my post in your recap! Also, I need those Everlane pants. I finally got some Aerie swimsuits this season too. Took only 3 orders before I finally figured out my cup size in the swim. But I’m OBSESSED! And they were all like $12/piece!
