Fall Wardrobe Essentials

Hope y’all had an amazing weekend! Mine was full of getting items off the to do list. From grocery shopping to laundry to hanging photos to a whole lot of blogging {plus a seriously fun photo shoot, can’t wait to share}. Definitely a productive weekend! Looking forward to a week of relaxation now that all of that is done {YAY} plus the hubs comes home today {double YAY}.

This weekend I also took Miss Reese Poppy on a couple of walks. While doing so I realized fall is in full affect {finally} and the leaves couldn’t be prettier. I seriously couldn’t stop swooning over all the colors and falling leaves. Seriously, could this season be any more beautiful?! Today, I’m sharing 7 must have items for the fall season! Ones I couldn’t live with out and some big trends this season {hello backpacks}. What’s your favorite items this season?

#50Styles50States, Old Navy Pleated Tie Neck Swing Dress, Old Navy Classic Marled Crew Neck Sweater, Old Navy Oversized Flannel Scarf, Old Navy Suede Double Zip Crossbody

Booties – This pair of shoes is a must have because of their versatility. You can wear them with just about everything in your fall wardrobe. From dresses to skirts to denim and more. They’ll keep your feet warm while and you looking chic.

Pleione Double Layer Short Sleeve Lace Top, Kut from the Kloth Diana Stretch Corduroy Skinny Pants, Henri Bendel Satchel, Half-up Top Knot, Steve Madden Carrson Sandals, Summer to Fall Style

Corduroys – Every once in awhile you want to wear pants and them not be denim. In comes the corduroys. These pants got a bad name after being worn too much in elementary school BUT they’re back and chicer than ever! I talked a lot about this particular pair here. Find out why I love them. It’s a really good reason!

Vince Camuto Ribbed Turtleneck Sweater, Oversized Sweater, Treasure & Bond Winsor Block Heel Booties, Vera Bradley Quilted Tess Crossbody, Charlie 1 Horse Felt Hat

Chunky Sweater – This is one of my all time favorite pieces in my fall wardrobe. Similar to the booties, this sweater is a must have best of it’s versatility and warmth. Obviously being oversized and chunky creates quite the cozy piece! When purchased in a simple neutral color it’s an item you can pair with so many other pieces – over dresses, tucked into skirts, denim, and corduroys.

Halogen High/Low Wool & Cashmere Tunic Sweater, Frame Skinny Jeans, Draper James Clutch, Navy Suede Pumps, Fall Style

Statement Clutch – A statement clutch is always necessary BUT especially in the fall/winter season. Come fall/winter everyone is wearing a lot more darker shades and sticking to more of a neutral palette. A little spice is necessary!

Blanket Scarf – Hello cooler temperatures. Come fall here in Charlotte mornings and evenings are freezing!! Layering is a must. Therefore the easiest item to throw on is a great blanket scarf. Throw one on and you’re instantly feeling all warm and fuzzy. Am I right?

Hat – Just like summer, bad hair days hit and little cover up action is necessary. Add on cooler temps and a freezing head, you really need a good hat! I picked this one up in Nashville this past summer and have looked for every excuse possible to wear it! Thank you fall for arriving, I will now be wearing this every weekend!

Vera Bradley Big Sky Backpack, J.Crew Sweater Tunic, Blue Suede Pumps, Kendra Scott Grant Necklace, AG Denim Skinny Jeans, Loft Oxford

Backpack – Chic backpacks are in and I’m not mad about it one bit! Backpacks have to be the most functional handbag ever. Tell me you can’t fit everything you need in there? Also the easiest style to carry ever. Never getting in your way. Plus with this seasons upgrades on the old school bag {get it school hehe} they’re the chicest accessory to have.
