Sharing my 2018 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Fitting Room Session with sizing and reviews!
Happy Friday y’all! As always, I am so thrilled to be at the end. This week seemed ultra long after last week’s mid-week holiday. Have you been feeling that way as well? Well luckily my friends, we are just a few hours from freedom!
Today, I’m diving into what I tried on at Nordstrom from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Upon putting together this post, I realized I only took video of some pieces so those you can find on my instgram NSale story. I will also give them an honorable mention below! Everything in today’s post were favorites of mine and several of them found their way home with me. I’ll share whether I purchased or not along with sizing and reviews below each item.

Topshop Colorblock Knit Pullover: Hands down one of the items that is going to sell out within a couple of days! The colors are so pretty in person! The weight of the sweater is a little lighter than expected. Could definitely be worn in early fall and the with layers over/under as temperatures become cooler. I personally LOVED this sweater and would highly recommend.
Size: US 6 – size up one from your typical size

FRAME Le Slender Straight Leg Jeans: Let me first say, I am not a jeans gal. I DO NOT wear them in the summer and try my best to limit the time I wear them in the cooler months. However, this pair was a game changer. Obsessed with the way they fit, the cropped leg, the wash, and the high-waist. These were probably my second favorite thing I tried on. They have a little stretch but not a lot.

Free People Found My Friend Sweater: This wasn’t a love at first sight sweater but as soon as I tried it on, I HAD to have it! It is a little cropped with ballon sleeves and a slouchy fit. Perfect for wearing with high-waisted jeans or a skirt. Also, a great piece to wear as loungewear. Comes in black, cream, purple, red, and yellow as well.
Size: S – I would say go with your typical size for TTS fit or go up on for an oversized look

Patagonia Lightweight Better Sweater Fleece: This is the Patagonia of the season. Calling it right now! And with the sale you can get $30 cheaper than it will be come fall and winter. A great item to gift yourself or buy and save for Christmas to gift a family member or friend. Also comes in black and grey. I’m wearing the cream, it’s more cream/lighter in person.

I really wanted it but I honestly have the exact same one with a zipper so couldn’t justify it.
Thread & Supply Wubby Fleece Pullover: Another item that will no doubt sell out! This piece was a bigger seller last year and I know so many people were hoping it would be included this year as well. Truly the coziest thing ever! Including warm as it is lined as well. Perfect oversized piece for cold fall/winter days. I just imagine sitting my a bonfire wearing this thing. Can’t wait for those days! Also comes in olive, ivory, ivory/charcoal. I’m wearing the charcoal.
Size: S – TTS but size up if you want an even cozier, oversized fit.
J.Crew Dover Blazer: Fell in love with this blazer immediately and I don’t even like blazers. Like I truly only own one from post college for interviews. The pink color is absolutely beautiful and the fit is incredible! The sleeves were a little long for me but I think it’s just because I’m a shortie. They could easily be taken up though. Also comes in black, heather grey, and navy. But y’all the pink is the winner!

I was worried it was an impulse buy so I’m mulling it over for a few days before making a decision.
J.Crew Très Chic Tee: I mean, how cute? It’s on sale for only $29.90 so it’s a great piece to pick up if you’re on a budget. Also, the perfect way to wear a graphic tee without it being too much.

Madewell 10-Inch High Waist Skinny Jeans: Super comfy, lots of stretch! The uber high waist on these is amazing! Makes the jeans even comfier and really sucks everything in. Love the button detail too for something a little different.
Size: 26 – could have worn a 25 so I say size down one
I was close to purchasing these but due to not really being a jean gal I stuck with the FRAME pair.
J. Crew Olga Boiled Wool Topcoat: Didn’t think I would like the yellow color but I was LOVING it! It is absolutely beautiful in person. This is really a great topcoat to pull on over layers. Honestly, if you’re in the market for a new coat this fall/winter I recommend trying this one out! It is also available in red, grey, royal blue, and teal.
Size: 2 – TTS it does fit a little big but I think that’s the style, especially for layering over thicker items.
Another item I may go back for but I need another coat like I need more blue in my life haha.
Barbour Cushat Quilted Jacket: Hello favorite item I tried on. OMG y’all this jacket feels like butter. It is the softest, comfiest, most amazing jacket. If you saw my Instagram story, I couldn’t stop gushing about it and honestly, still haven’t been able to. Hands down my number one recommended purchase! It is SO good! Also, it is the prettiest grayish blue in person.
Size: US 6 – I would typically wear a 2 or 4 but I think Barbour sizes a bit small so I would order up one to two sizes or both to see which you like best.

Halogen® Blouson Sleeve Long Cashmere Cardigan: So soft, so warm. I was sweating after like 10 second of wearing it! Given it was super hot taking off and putting on close + pretty toasty under the fitting room lights but still, I think that shows how warm this piece is. It is a beautiful sweater and one I think would be worn often with so many different looks. Also comes in heather grey and black, I’m wearing the tan heather.

Leith Sweater Tank: I have really been wanting a sweater tank but one couldn’t find one that was thinner and two wasn’t sure I could pull one off. This Leith one was a game changer though. It’s super light. As in you could wear it now and layer it later in the fall/winter. And it’s incredibly flattering on.

Alo ‘Glimpse’ Long Sleeve Top: Incredibly lightweight. It was surprisingly in the activewear section but I would definitely call it loungewear. It is a little see through as you can kind of see in the photo. Very soft though and has the cutest slit detail on the sides. Comes in grey too.
Size: S – TTS
Make + Model Sleepy High Rise Lounge Jogger Pants: Basically like wearing your boyfriend’s or husband’s sweatpants. They’re a dream and SO comfy! Come in a light blue and grey as well.
Size: S – could have down an XS. I would recommend sizing down one size.
Sportswear Rally Jogger Pants: I’m about to sound so lame but I felt ridiculously cool in this combo haha. Also, ridiculously comfortable! These pants are thick and soft, made for much cooler days. So perfect for lounging around the house.
Size: S – could have worn an XS – size down one size
Nike Sportswear Rally Sweatshirt: Just like the joggers but in sweatshirt form.
Size: S – TTS with a roomy fit
BP. Balloon Sleeve Sweater: Very light and soft but also very warm. So many cute details: ballon sleeves, high ribbed neck, and large stitch down the middle. Fits slouchy. Comes in green and red as well.

BLANKNYC A-Line Suede Skirt: SUCH a cute skirt for fall! It is a bit lighter than my photo is showing. The length is perfect, not too short, not too long. Would look so cute dressed up or down several different ways.
Size: 26 – TTS
Sam Edelman Caprice Knee-High Boot: Perfect neutral knee high boot for fall/winter. The color is beautiful in person and they seem to be very comfortable. They would go with just about everything for every occasion.
Size: 8 – typically wear a 7 or 7.5 so I would say size up half a size.
