FOR THE HOME

Pumpkin candles, that is about it! But let’s be honest, when October is right around the corner pumpkin candles are the most important item you can buy for your home!

WHERE I WENT

Wisconsin – I shared this trip is last month’s round up but we were technically there in September too. So adding it here as well! Joshua and I trailed to Wisconsin with Joshua’s parents {sister, her fiancé, and about 20 family members from my mother-in-law’s family}. We spent five days at a lake in Eagle River, Wisconsin. This was only my second time in Wisconsin and first time visiting a lake there. It was beautiful and a perfect escape to relax and recharge! Also, Joshua’s cousins couldn’t be more fun! Absolutely love hanging out with them and the whole family.

New Jersey – We visited the Cape May area of New Jersey for the wedding of one of Joshua’s high school buddies – he was also a groomsmen in our wedding. We flew into Philadelphia and spent the day exploring the city. To be honest, I wasn’t a big fan. Maybe we didn’t go to the right spots or walk around the right part of town but I found it to be very dingy and dirty (if you live there or love it, I’m sorry, I’ll have to try again). We had a great time in NJ though and enjoyed the little beach town.

Charleston – The most epic trip of the month aka as I write this post it’s three days since I returned and I am still recovering. I was in Charleston for one of my best friend’s bachelorette parties. We absolutely lived it up all weekend – spending time at the beach, eating lots of delicious food, laughing until 4am, and celebrating my girl’s last big hoorah BIG before her big day! While I’ve been to Charleston a million times, I’ve never taken a sunset cruise around the battery, which we did this time and y’all, it was amazing! Now on my list of must do’s when someone asks for ideas when visiting the charming southern town.

MOVIES WATCHED

Slow West – Just as the title, this movie is slooooooow moving in my opinion. Joshua was definitely way more into than I was. Not a lot happened honestly until the very end and then EVERYTHING happened. One good thing, the movie did not end as I had expected which was a nice little surprise.

To All the Boys I’ve Loved – Favorite movie of the month! I watched this after hearing about it from so many friends and seeing it every where on social media. Yes, it is a cheesy teen love story and yes I absolutely ate it up! So stinking cute and the main actor, Noah Centineo is an absolute cutie. New celeb crush for sure.

Adrift – Amazing! This movie is based off a true story which blew me away as I watch the characters of this movie go through what they did. The acting was amazing. As was the directing and producing. Highly recommend renting this one from Redbox.

RECIPES TRIED

Peanut Butter Banana Overnight Oats – Joshua is absolutely obsessed with this recipe and LOVES having these overnight oats for breakfast! They’re honestly the best overnight oats I’ve ever made and super simple.

WHAT I WATCHED

Thank goodness This Is Us and Grey’s Anatomy are back! I’m caught up on both and loving both thus far! I’ve also started watching The Foster’s from season one. I’ve heard great things about it forever and when I found out Noah Centineo was in it, I was sold. I’m about 9 episodes in and loving it thus far. The acting is a little rough the first few episodes but the cast makes strides pretty quickly. What are y’all watching this fall?

I’ve only been to Philly once a few years ago and I wasn’t a fan either. I also don’t like the airport at all! King of Prussia mall (like 30 mins away) is amazing though. 🙂
