With spring right around the corner, it is time to refresh our skin care routines and probably step it up a bit. During cooler months I think we can all be a little lackadaisical with our beauty regiment as we’re spending so much time indoors and when we’re outdoors we’re covered in layers. Therefore, half the time our face isn’t even showing. Come spring though, I think we’re all after that fresh, dewy, healthy glow, right? We want to radiant in the spring sunshine. Well today I’m spilling all the details on how to achieve that natural, healthy glow! Including tips, tricks, and favorite products to make that healthy glow dream a reality.

All the products I’m sharing in today’s post are part of a collection that is free of parabens, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, gluten, GMOs, and harsh chemicals. Additionally, they are contain sustainably and ethically sourced ingredients. Which is extremely important to me as I like my skincare products to be as clean as possible! I think that plays a critical role in achieving a natural, healthy glow that lasts! They can all be purchased at CVS – a quick, easy, convenient spot to shop. To make it even better, CVS currently has a $2 off coupon you can use as your local CVS location (now until 3/30) and an additional coupon for $1.00 of any Palmer’s product (now until 3/30).

So Fresh, So Clean

Let’s be honest, we all wish we woke up with beautiful, dewy skin with no work required. However, that just isn’t possible! A healthy glow requires daily care – twice a day. First and foremost, that means a cleansing routine you can stick with. Meaning you can keep up with it every single day – morning and night. Personally, I really look forward to washing my face and absolutely love the feeling of a fresh cleaned face. Face wipes don’t provide that feeling and nor do they provide a deep wash. So purchase a cleanser like Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Monoï Facial Cleansing Balm. I love that you’re able to apply this balm on dry skin and rinse with warm water. Which allows the balm to gently cleanse your skin while maintaining optimal moisture balance. It will remove all traces of makeup, dirt, pollution and surface bacteria so skin is detoxified naturally. Giving you that fresh clean face feeling and taking you a step closer to a healthy glow!

Aside from a great cleansing routine, you also need a moisturizer. One you can apply following your cleansing routine. You want a moisturizer that will hydrate your skin long-term (I’m talking 24 hours) while brightening your complexion and enhancing your skin’s natural radiance. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Water Facial Moisturizer does use that with naturally skin-friendly coconut water and hyaluronic acid.

Streamline Your Shower Time

Did you know that those long, how, steamy showers you take actually strip the natural oils right out of your skin? Taking a quick, cool shower instead is far better for your skin (plus it saves water). But sometimes those long, hot, steamy showers are necessary (hello self care). So if you find yourself indulging in one of those be sure to replenish your skin afterwards with a face oil. This will help combat the dryness that can be caused by those relaxing showers. My personal favorite, Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Monoi Luminous Hydration Facial Oil. This amazing facial oil combines Fair Trade Extra Virgin Coconut Oil + 9 other skin nourishing oils to boost hydration, replenishing skin so it looks dewy with a healthy glow! Also, helps to maintain skin’s optimal moisture level.

Scrub Dead Skin Away

Sloughing away dead skin cells is an absolute must. As well as ridding your skin of dirt (ew!). In order to do that, you need a really great exfoliating scrub. Depending on your skin type you can use this daily, every other day, or just a couple of times a week. Personally, I only use it about three times a week and I find that to be enough. A scrub like Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Sugar Facial Scrub is perfect for gently buffing & polishing away dirt and dead skin cells to reveal a brighter, fresher and purified complexion. Plus, I love that is uses natural exfoliating coconut sugar to do so.

Sip Your Way There

I have talked about this before, drinking water is incredibly important in hydrating your skin. Fun fact: dehydration causes wrinkles and can increase signs of aging. So drink up lady! You should be drinking the same number of ounces as pounds you weigh. Example, I weight 118lbs therefore, I should be drinking 118 ounces a day. I make this happen by ALWAYS having a water bottle with me. Whether I’m sitting at my desk, running errands, watching Netflix, or traveling. If plain water isn’t your thing, add cucumbers or your favorite fruit (love cantaloupe water).

Massage Your Face

You might have immediately thought “WHAT?” When you read that statement but giving your face a little extra love with a massage can really pay off! Doing so a couple times a week can keep fines lines from forming or deepening. This is due to you stimulating your skin, causing it to wake up! And this increases the blood flow which then increases collagen production. Increased collagen leads to plumped up skin with a natural, healthy glow.

There are a couple of ways you can go about this. You can massage with your favorite cleanser or cleansing oil or you can invest in a jade roller and roll your face after applying the oil mentioned above, Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Coconut Monoi Luminous Hydration Facial Oil. Both ways will stimulate your skin and increase blood flow. I personally, am in love with my jade roller and prefer that route. Either way, be sure you are using upward strokes to defy gravity (you want to pull your skin up, not down) and focus on your cheeks, jaw line, and forehead.

Hide Behind the Mask

Okay, don’t really hide behind a mask but partake in doing face masks often! How often you should do face masks depends a lot on the type of skin you have as well as the type of face mask. However, hydrating face masks are a must for everyone! Everyone could use a little extra hydration in their skin (again keep those wrinkles and aging signs at bay). These can be done 2-3 times weekly, again depends a lot on the type of skin you have so play around a bit, test out one a week first and see how your skin feels after a few weeks of that. Then increase as needed.

Right now I am loving the Palmer’s Coconut Water Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask. This mask combines naturally skin-friendly coconut water, hyaluronic acid and chamomile to drench skin in hydration for a radiant, healthy-looking glow. One way to step it up, when you have applied the facial sheet mask roll over it with your jade roller. This will allow the mask to absorb even better!

If sheet masks aren’t your thing, give Palmer’s Coconut Water Hydrating Facial Mask a try or rotate between the two. This mask is has rich, skin-conditioning coconut oil, coconut milk, and coconut water that saturate skin with deep penetrating moisture. Instantly boosts hydration, replenishing and restoring skin’s radiant glow.
