Happy hour at home has become a #quarantinelife positive I look forward to! You’re able to enjoy a little sunshine and fresh air while sipping your favorite cocktail, wine, or beer without having to get in the car, call an uber, or pay a crazy price for that drink in your hand. My all time favorite cocktail to have in hand is a skinny margarita. Perfectly light and refreshing! The perfect summer cocktail…in my opinion! So with that being said, today I am sharing my go to – the easiest skinny margarita recipe. 

Easiest Skinny Margarita Recipe

This margarita is very simple to make – you just need a few fresh ingredients, your seltzer water of choice, and your favorite tequila. To me, fresh-squeezed juices make all the difference and really add to that refreshing flavor. Therefore, I 100% recommend scooping up a few limes and an orange or two. Cara cara oranges are absolutely amazing and really pack the flavor! If you’re local grocery store offers up that variety of orange definitely opt for it! With just these few ingredients you’ll everything you need for easiest skinny margarita recipe!

INGREDIENTS

4 ounces tequila
6 ounces seltzer water – flavor of your choice
2 ounces fresh-squeezed lime juice
2 ounces fresh-squeezed orange juice
ice
salt
lime or orange for garnish

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1

Place tequila, seltzer water, fresh-squeezed lime juice, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and ice in shaker. Shake until well combined. 

STEP 2

Run a lime (or orange) wedge around the rim of your glasses. Place salt on a shallow plate. Then lightly dip the rims in salt and twist to coat completely.

STEP 3

Add ice to glasses. Pour shaker contents it into your salt rimmed glasses. 

STEP 4

Add a lime or orange wedge for garnish. Or both!
