This week was a busy one! I was off to Charleston mid-afternoon Monday and will be returning home later this evening. We bopped around town staying at four different hotels throughout the week – The Vendue, The French Quarter Inn, The Spectator Hotel, and Harbourview Inn. Each offered a very different feel, atmosphere and overall stay. If you’re interested, I will share a post reviewing each – just let me know in the comments below!
Aside from where we stayed, we checked out a few new to us restaurants, a forever favorite (Basic Kitchen) and took several bike rides. We completely lucked out with beautiful spring weather every single day! Thursday was actually quite toasty and a little a humid – summer is coming to Charleston sooner rather than later! If you’re thinking about visiting Charleston, I would recommend going early-mid spring or mid-late fall.
This week I also relaunched the Louella Reese brand with a whole new look, logo, brand colors, and shared more about what the brand will look like going forward. I am honestly still on cloud nine over the new look and feel of the Louella Reese brand. And so incredibly thankful for all of your love, excitement, and support as well! It has been a wonderful week!
With the new Louella Reese brand comes a few new things here on the blog as well! Today I’m kicking off a new series called Friday Five that I will share every Friday. The Friday Five series will highlight 5 things I’m loving that week and recap the week a bit! Kind of like a morning (or afternoon) coffee chat with a friend – would love to hear about your week or things you’re loving in the comments!
5 THINGS I’M LOVING THIS WEEK
Gingham Linen Overalls
What neutral overall dreams are made of! I truly don’t know if I have ever seen a cuter pair of overalls. From the gingham to the linen fabric to the knot ties – it just doesn’t get any cuter! 100% certain this is a pair of overalls you’ll want to live in all summer long…I know I do!
Raffia Dome Boater Hat
I adore this little hat! My hat loving self is itching to add it to my collection but just can’t decide if this is a style I can pull off! What do you think?
Botanical Watering Can
Have you ever, in your whole, seen a prettier watering can? I absolutely have not! This one deserves a permanent spot on a shelf in your home – would be beyond adorable on a shelf in a sunroom, screened in porch or breakfast nook.
Marigold Embroidered Sweater
This pretty sweater received a little mention in Wednesday’s post but I felt it deserved a feature of it’s own! Sweetly embroidered florals give this pullover sweater a sunny, spring-ready touch. Looks cute dressed down as shown here but I love the idea of throwing it over spring dresses in the evenings or when on the beach.
