While in Atlanta last month Em, Corb, and myself stopped at The Southern Gentleman for brunch. Y’all this was the BEST brunch I have ever had! The food was incredible, the atmosphere was adorable, and the staff couldn’t have been sweeter. Our waiter was super informative and walked us through the whole brunch menu. He also let us know about the lunch and dinner menu. We seriously thought about staying the remainder of the day haha.

The decor was basically made for me. I legitimately would love to decorate me and Joshua’s soon to be new place just like it! They have seersucker curtains y’all!! How stinking cute is that? I instantly snapped a photo and put it under my home file in my phone. The oversized chairs are beautiful! The perfect shade of ivory. I’ll also take four of these for our future home.

So let’s do a run down of what we ate.

First up was my top pick, the House Made Granola Muslix. I am all about granola + yogurt so this was an obvious choice for me. The fruit comode was surprisingly tang. While the granola was perfectly sweet with fresh berries. Honestly, the ideal light morning treat. I would seriously eat this combo every single day if I could!

Our other appetizer choice was the Farm Ricotta Fresh Farmers Cheese. The dates and balsamic syrup were a decadent sweetener to the dish. With the pine nuts added a much needed crunch to the dish. The toast was the perfect base for this delicious treat!

Corbin choose the New Orleans Shrimp and Grits. The dish consisted of gulf shrimp, sweet and salty NOLA BBQ sauce, speckled whole grain grits, pepper and tomato stew. The BBQ sauce made this dish! The BBQ was truly incredible!! Whole grain grits were the perfect toughness and the shrimp was so decadent.

Emily went with the Parmesan Omelet. Ample fine herb and home fried potatoes. The crust on the top added the perfect amount of crisp. I personally dove into Emily’s home fried potatoes quite a few times. They were slightly addicting!

We all were obsessing over the Blackberry and Aloe Vera Sacrum Mimosas. These were the BEST mimosas we had ever had! The bartender makes a new mimosa concoction every Sunday. These particular ones were made with mash blackberrys, aloe vera, and sugar until it crystallizes. While that makes it sound like they’re very sweet, they really weren’t! It was the greatest combination! Like can I have one now please?!

I obviously went for the sweetest dish, the Ricotta and Lemon Pancakes. These pancakes could have fed a family of four. A very hefty serving for sure. The lemon was a welcomed compliment to an otherwise traditional, sweet pancakes. You could tell the fruit was extremely fresh! The berry compote added the right amount of moisture making maple syrup unnecessary.

While we were all quite full we just couldn’t pass up dessert. After quite the debate we settled on the Chocolate Chess Pie. OMG y’all!! With a warm center it was melt in your mouth delicious. The middle tasted just like a bunch of crushed up Oreos. We all know how obsessed I am with Oreos so I truly couldn’t have been happier when I dove into this decadent dish!

Overall we obviously had quite the experience! Our tastebuds and bellies were VERY happy!! I honestly cannot wait to get back to Atlanta and try out the next mimosa concoction. If you’re in the area you better hit this place up!!

Thank you to The Southern Gentleman for sponsoring this post. All views and opinions are of course my own!
