With summer winding down I thought I would share my favorite summer purchases of summer 2018. Aka the ones I just can’t stop wearing!
This year I’ve been focusing on being less impulsive and more thoughtful with my purchases. Meaning, will this item be something I’ll wear often? Or will I love it for seasons to come? Or can I mix and match it with several different items and styles? If I said no to two or more of these the item did not make it home with me. And what I found is I’m left with items I absolutely love. Items I have worn like crazy this summer, will continue to wear lots, and am sad to be putting away soon when the new season arrives.
Therefore, I thought I would share some of my favorite summer purchases, why they’re my favorites, and why I recommend them. As I believe these pieces could be some of your favorites as well!!

1. Soludos Espadrille Wedges
Hands down my favorite shoe of summer 2018. When purchasing them I wasn't 100% sure I would wear them often but boy was I wrong. I reach for these shoes more often than any other. One because of how cute they are and two for their comfort. I have seen that most people tie the bow in the front but I opt to tie it in the back. I believe it keeps things more simple and makes your legs look longer.
2. Floral Bandana Scarf
You know when you aren't looking for something but spot it and know you HAVE to have it. That's exactly what happened with this bandana scarf. I really wasn't looking for one and definitely not one in these colors {you know me, always on the blue prowl} however, I needed it! Really the colors are perfect for the transition from summer to fall and can easily be worn now and later.
3. Natural Straw Tote
Another piece that had been on my wish list forever. However, I could never find a great one at a decent price. Then I stumbled upon this one at gap {seriously first time in there in years} and game on, I've been carrying nonstop sense. Originally, I purchased the tote for beach, pool, and lake days but I've been wearing to events, out shopping, and even when just runnings errands, it's great!
4. Leith Sweater Tank
A sweater tank had been on my wish list for some time {as mentioned in this post} however I couldn't find the right one. Then #PRAISE the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale included the perfect one. Lightweight, neutral, and perfect for layering. I have been wearing this piece nonstop since purchasing it and have no plans of stopping anytime soon. If you don't have a sweater tank in your wardrobe, you need on STAT! I definitely recommend this particular one {linked above and below} as it really is wonderful.
5. English Factory Dress
I ranted and raved about this dress a couple weeks back and honestly y'all I still can't say enough about it. Love at first sight and that love has only grown. I've already worn it to church, meetings, dinner + drinks with Joshua, and events. It is one of those pieces you can wear to almost everything. Also easy to dress up or down. Pair with casual flats or sandals for casual vibes. Or dress up with nude heels or espadrille wedges {like the ones above}. Truly just the sweetest little number you're bound to wear year after year!
6. Soludos Espadrille Smoking Loafers
The perfect casual shoe for summer. They're comfortable, neutral, and truly go with everything. Great for dressing down any look while still looking put together and perfectly summery. I have to say, I will be sad when I have to retired these come the fall season. I really could not recommend them more if you're looking for a comfortable, wear everyday shoe. Maybe even pick them up in two colors, you'll wear them that much!
