June has been a very exciting month for Louella Reese and a pretty calm one for myself. Louella Reese had some pretty great moments occur in June. First being accepted into the Southern Blog Society which was a huge accomplishment and honor as one of the co founders, Cathy from Poor Little It Girl, is actually who inspired me to start my own blog. So to say I was a bit gitty the day I found out is a mild understatement. Next we launched our first official logo created for us by the amazing H.Nichols. I am so in love with the illustration as I’ve shared here. Through that came our business cards as well which again I’m totally in love with. Have to say it’s super exciting and empowering having your own personal business cards with something you’ve started. Side note: any gals out there thinking of starting your own thing whether it’s a blog, jewelry company, clothing line, etc…do it! To be cliche there’s no time like the present and you won’t regret giving it a go! And finally Louella Reese has some awesome collaborations coming up that I cannot wait to share with you so stay tuned.
On a personal side as I said it’s been a pretty calm month of work, blogging, and relaxing. First up was an amazing date night with the boyfriend! I talked about it a little here.
I spent Father’s Day in Raleigh visiting my dad and spending time with my siblings and their spouses. My dad, brother, sister, and I ran in a Father’s Day 5k. What we thought would be a fun family run together turned into okay see you at the finish line with all of us ending at different times (I came in second if you’re wondering, I’ll pick it up next time!). It was a total blast though and something different to do “together”.
Ending out the month I spent this past weekend with my mom and sister in Blowing Rock celebrating my mom’s birthday. My siblings and I came together wanting to do something special for my mom, so we thought a relaxing spa getaway was the perfect escape. Friday we headed up to Chetola, a resort in Blowing Rock. Indulged in a yummy meal Friday night. Saturday was filled of hiking, eating, and an afternoon in the spa. For her snazzy dinner we went to Gideon Ridge Inn, highly recommend it! The food was truly amazing and the view was out of this world. An adorable little place.
How was your month of June? Anything big happen? Fun trips?
