August was a whirlwind! This month absolutely flew by!! I don’t know if it was because it’s summer and time always flies or if because so many fun things were going on. Anyways it’s was a wonderful month. Filled with more exciting things for the blog and a few fun personal adventures. 

First off with the blog there’s lots of exciting collaborations coming up with other bloggers, retailers, and local companies. I’m pretty excited about each and every one! Also a few incredible giveaways coming up in the next couple of weeks that you will NOT want to miss! (P.S. if you still haven’t signed up for RocksBox get on it ladies 🙂 here’s a free month for you) Talking with all these different people has been so much fun and really made my month. I also had my first bloggers date which I’ve talked about a couple times and again had the best time chatting with Corbin from The Classy South. Oh and I also attended my first networking brunch, which was wonderful getting to meet so many different people and talk to them about their companies and Louella Reese. The month closed with a bang with a bloggers event at The Denim House in Charlotte. So much fun! We indugled in champagne, lots of candy and sweet treats, I had a little make up makeover, and tried on their fabulous clothing. I picked up the best jeans I’ve ever tried on and some snazzy new eyeshadow I cannot wait to try out this weekend. 

Personally it was an incredibly fun month full of indulging in margs and sweets, trips with the boyfriend, and a few perfect lazy days in between. Two desserts I have to mention are the banana cream pie with macaron crust from The Vine, my new favorite Charlotte restaurant, and this yummy little red velvet bundt cake Josh and I split from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Both were to die for and although I split both I easily could have ate them myself 🙂 tehe. 

One of my best friends and I had a Friday Funday where we indulged in an incredible meal at Zada Janes then spent the rest of the day at Carowinds screaming our heads off on the roller coasters! Such a blast! Josh and I went to see Keith Urban, my country crush Brett Eldredge opened for him, I was swooning!! Keith Urban was incredible too, interacted with the crowd a ton and really just put on a great show. Tonight we’re off to see Blake Shelton another favorite of mine and someone I haven’t yet seen in concert so I’m pretty excited. Last weekend we headed up to West Jefferson to visit a good friend of his and do some rafting. It was absolutely gorgeous up there and so relaxing to just lounge on the rafts all day. Finally tomorrow we’re off to Lake Wylie to spend some time with friends for the weekend and Lake Norman Monday to celebrate Labor Day! 

September will be a busy on too with more country concerts, football games (49ers!!), work meeting, and a girls getaway for a long weekend. Follow @LouellaReese on instagram to see what all I’m up to!
