Day to Night

When packing for a vacation it’s all about making your clothes work for multiple occasions. Filling your suitcase with key pieces that can be styled several ways and accessories to spice up your looks. I usually focus on packing dresses that I can dress down and up. They’re by far in my opinion the easiest item to allow you to transfer from day to night with the simple change of a jacket, shoes, handbag, and jewelry.

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has invited me to participate in their #myCosmoStyle challenge – to style an outfit for a full day at their resort. Their resort has so many different things to offer their guests from indulging in their variety of restaurants to trying your hand at the black jack table to shopping fabulous boutiques to dancing the night away at their night club. So having an outfit that will take you from one occasion to the next with the an easy switch of accessories is necessary! Who wants to spend their time in their room when they have all of that to see?

My day to night look would obviously be focused around a dress 🙂 that allows me to play around a lot with layers and accessories.I chose a bright pink dress because hello y’all it’s Vegas! For starting the day off most likely at brunch with the gals I’d throw an edgy denim moto jacket over the dress, a chic wool hat to cover my hair (allowing me to wait till the night to bring out the curls!), a pair of flashy flats because it’s Vegas, and finish the look off with a black and snakeskin crossbody, easy for walking around and stashing a few shopping finds in.

For night, off goes the moto jacket and out comes the glam! This simple dress gets a serious upgrade with some seriously flashy accessories. A oversized statement necklace, gold brushed large bangle, metallic clutch, celeb status shoes (at a realistic price), and to finish this look off it’s all about the lips with MAC Violetta.

Best part about this look, every item is under $100!
