First off this week has seemed like the longest week that has ever existed! Am I right? At the same time though I can’t believe we’re almost through with the first full week of January 2016. I think one of the reasons it’s so hard to believe is because of the extremely mild winter we’ve had thus far. Here in NC people were wearing shorts at Christmas time and hadn’t even had the opportunity to pull out their winter wardrobe. That all changed come NYE though! Temps dropped and we are now 100% experiencing winter {YAY!}. While I love the warm, I like my seasons the way they’re suppose to be. Plus I’m all about chunky sweaters and oversized scarfs {as you know}.

This sweater stole my heart the second I laid eyes on it! The color, pattern, and fit are perfection. I’ve always been a huge fan of fair isle – the preppy feel it has. I feel like a fair isle sweater {or leggings} is a total statement piece. Therefore you can keep everything else pretty simple. They’re easy to dress up or dress down, whatever your heart desires that day.

I decided to play around a bit with today’s look. Pairing the sweater with my new leopard flats {so in love} and a lady-like satchel. While these two pieces dress up the sweater the boyfriend jeans take it down a notch. I’m loving the mix of masculine and feminine. Always a fun combo!
