“Let not your heart be troubled: you believe in God, believe also in me.” – John 14:1
When I was reading and thinking of a verse to feature for today’s post this one really stuck out to me. This week I had a dear friend reach out to me about a hurt she is facing in her life right now. She’s not sure where her path is going to lead her and can’t help but feel the hurt, trouble, and worry on her heart. I feel for her so much as I’ve been down the same road before.
This verse is one that stuck out to me in particular when I was going through the exact same thing. It was so hard to not think about the hurt that is weighing on your heart the moment you are feeling it! It’s almost as though it’s the only thing you can think about. No matter what happens in your day to brighten it this trouble still pulls you down. Being reminded that you believe in God, that He is here for you, that He has a path He is going to lead you down is something that helped create strength for me. His path is so much better than the path I imaged for myself and I can assure you the path He has planned for you is far better than your wildest dreams! He will never take you somewhere you cannot handle, get stronger from going there, and/or learn something from that place.
I took peace in this verse and knowing that He did in fact have a plan {and still does for my life that I have NO idea about!} and is someone I can go to at anytime of the day no matter where I am and talk to in prayer. I pray that if you are going through something hard or have something going on in your life that is laying trouble, hurt, or worry on your heart that you will find peace in this verse as well. He loves you, He has a plan, and He will lead you somewhere even better than where you were before or where you are now!
Thank you
