The Sweetest Day

The South the place where… 1. The tea and accents are sweeter 2. Summer started in April 3. Macaroni and cheese is a vegetable 4. Front porches are wide and words are long 5. Pecan pie is a staple 6. Y’all is the only proper noun 7. Chicken is fried and biscuits come with gravy 8. Everything is darlin’ 9. Someone’s heart is always being blessed

Notice the first thing mentioned? The tea. Sweet tea in the South is a true {and strong} tradition. It’s honestly more than just a tradition it’s a way of life in the South. I have to be honest, I didn’t try sweet tea until my freshman year of college {I’m originally from PA – so cut me a break}. Once I tried it, I was hooked though. So refreshing, tasty, and sweet, of course!

Once I realized how many calories I was drinking and how that wasn’t really helping to keep the freshman {20 off, yes I can gained 20 pounds my freshman year} I backed off. I would have a glass here and there but it was very sparingly. Until now! I recently came across Southern Breeze Sweet Tea and I am now hooked again!

So you may ask, what about those 20 lbs? Aren’t you still worried about the calories? Well yes, yes I am BUT Southern Breeze Sweet Tea has zero calories and is the perfect guilt free version of a Southern favorite. Aka I get to indulge in one of my favorite Southern items without drinking my calories away. Therefore I’m saving them dessert instead haha. Pretty great right?

Another great part about it the tea is it’s extremely easy to prepare. Simply steep the tea in boiling water then chill. The sweetener is already in the bag so you don’t even have to worry about that additional step! Hello extra time – goodbye trying to figure out the exact right amount.

Also, if you want to live on the edge a little or aren’t the biggest fan of traditional sweet tea. Southern Breeze Sweet Tea does come in four different flavors, all made with real tea leaves, and brewed in Marietta, GA.

So don’t stress about those freshman 15 {or 20} go ahead and indulge in the Southern tradition because after all today is National Sweet Tea Day!
