Well the time has come for The Blog Societies Conference posts to start! I am so excited to start sharing with y’all the events, items I learned, and what I wore. If you missed out, I did share my cocktail party look last week. You can check it out here. More looks to come next week. You’ll definitely want to stay tuned as you’ll be amazed to find out I didn’t wear a whole lot of blue {gasp}. I know, I know. My fellow bloggers were shocked as well haha.
Now on to the more exciting stuff! The cocktail party. The cocktail party is the kick off for the conference. That way us bloggers have a chance to meet, mingle, and share a glass of our favorite beverage together. It’s honestly one of my favorite parts of the conference! It’s an awesome opportunity to catch up with gals with haven’t seen since the previous year. Also a lot of social media friends become IRL {in real life} friends, which is kind of the best.
This year I was able to meet some of my blogger girl crushes. Y’all there are some serious girl bosses that come to this conference!! These are gals that have sites I read every single day, instagrams I check on the hour, and ones I squeal over when they respond to my tweets. Yeah I fan girl hard but HEY they deserve that treatment, they’re making their dreams come true while also being the sweetest gals around! One thing I have learned from these conferences is don’t be afraid to introduce yourself to someone you look up to. They’re probably just as nice {if not nicer} than you imagined and they’re almost always equally as excited as you are about meeting. It’s kind of the best!
Okay, this is legit my favorite picture of Emily and I ever! Thanks to Tease Blow Dry Bar we have some killer braids and thanks to IT Cosmestics our make up was on point. Can they come to my house every day please!?
The location of the cocktail party was at the Belmond Charleston Place. The event was going to be outside but sadly the weather did not cooperate. I actually wasn’t super disappointed as the humidity that day was ridiculous and my hair appreciated the air conditioning way more. Who knows what I’m talking about?!
I was obviously having a great time haha. Champs for everyone!
How cute are these cocktail napkins? I’m obsessed. They couldn’t have been more perfect for the event. Who else wants these for their next 100 get togethers?
Seriously, I make the goofiest faces! Honestly though, being around such a fun group of gals brings out a whole lot of silliness. It’s great to kick back, chat about blogging with others that are in the same boat, and catch up. Here I’m chatting with one of my favorite gals, Katie from A Touch of Teal, if you don’t already follow her, you need to stat! She’s the cutest/sweetest and omg y’all she’s freaking hilarious!
Last but not least our hostesses. Cathy from Poor Little It Girl, Holly from Vera Bradley, and Jess from My Style Vita. These lovely ladies put the fabulous cocktail party event together and did a killer job! Everything was truly amazing and way too much fun!
Also side note, Cathy and I were wearing the same shoes and I just about died. She’s my absolute favorite and the fact that we were wearing the same shoes basically started the conference off on the best foot possible. Pun intended haha.
Stay tuned next week for more TBScon!
