You may remember I shared my neutral every day make up routine a couple of weeks ago here. I talked all about my favorite IT Cosmetic make up and skincare items. I wanted to go a little further in depth today with some of my favorites that were not mentioned. As well as take you behind the scenes of a typical photo shoot with me and my photographer!
A couple of weeks ago, my photographer and I crashed The Lodge at Ballantyne and prepped for our photo shoot there. This lodge is definitely a little hidden gem. I mentioned in a couple of my previous posts shot there, when on property you feel as though you’re somewhere in the mountains. It’s amazing! A great place to escape to when you’re needing to get away from the city! With that said, it was the perfect place to shoot some fall/winter looks. Also, the rooms were so cozy to get ready in!

While getting ready, I also laid out some of my favorite baubles to prepare for the shoot. Right now I’m super hooked on this watch {which you can change the band to brown when wanted} and these tassel earrings. I mean seriously, how fun are they?
Since we were feeling all cozy in this adorable room warm tea as definitely necessary! We both had two to three glasses. I love drinking tea as I’m getting ready, especially in the morning. My go to picks are organic green tea and sapphire earl gray tea.
As far as my make up, the items I really wanted to point out that didn’t get mentioned in this post are my Bobbi Brown shimmer bricks, finishing powder, and Estee Lauder mascara. I have been using these products for years and truly swear by them! The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks are incredible! They can be used so many different ways – eyeshadow, highlighter, bronzer, and blush. I have two, one that I use as eyeshadow and blush and one that I use for eyeshadow and bronzer. I couldn’t love these more! I highly recommend at least giving one a try, you’ll fall in love.

How pretty is this Kendra Scott necklace? It can be worn as a long necklace or tightened to be worn as a choker. Also you can wear it backwards if you want to create a totally different look. Talk about versatility!

Once the make up is all done, hair is curled, the jewelry is put on, and the tea has been finished…the photo shoot begins! Typically after all the beauty is complete I head out to meet Amanda {my photographer} at the location we’re shooting. Since we had the room at The Lodge at Ballantyne we were able to simply head outside and start shooting. Once we finished one look it was back inside to change. That continued until we shot four looks and then we were done!
So that’s it! A little behind the scenes of a typical photo shoot for me plus some of my favorite beauty products + baubles.
Happy Friday’s Eve! We are so close to the holiday weekend. Eeeek! Today’s post will be my last post of 2016. I’ve decided to take December 23-January 1 to be with my family and fully enjoy that time. So with that said I first wanted to say thank you all for following along and supporting Louella Reese. You have no idea how much I appreciate each and every one of you! It still blows my mind that you come here every day or week or moth to check out what I have to say. I couldn’t thank you enough for doing that! Y’all are truly the best. Second, I want to wish y’all a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year. I will still be posting across all social media {instagram, twitter, facebook} so be sure to follow there to see what the hubs and I are up to! Talk to you all in 2017!
