“I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet” – Carrie Bradshaw. Oh the wise words of Carrie Bradshaw. Tell me this character didn’t make you rethink, revaluate, and rebuild your wardrobe in the late 90s and early 2000s. I may have been young at the time but I caught up when the time was right. Since then this lady has been a fashion icon of mine. Sure she’s a television {and movie} character but she is one fierce fashionista. When I put this look together I couldn’t help but feel I was living a little on the Bradshaw side. I could totally see her rocking this while strutting the streets of NYC with her ladies.

Recently I shared my first look featuring “mom jeans” and mentioned I was hooked. I truly cannot get enough of these jeans. Therefore I had to figure out how to style them for date night and/or cocktails with the gals! And after trying a couple of combinations this look came together. I have to say, this is my favorite look of 2017! I know there’s only been a couple but I have a feeling this one will hold first place for a while!

Tips for styling mom jeans for date night and/or cocktails with the gals. 

Heels, heels, heels! Heels will instantly add some sassy, height, and confidence.

Tuck in your shirt and go with a flirty top/blouse. One that has some feminine details. Think ruffle sleeves, a bow tie neck, lace, or sheer with a sassy lace bralette underneath.

Add a statement piece. I went with two on this look but one would be just fine. Especially if your top does have a lot of detail or a strong pattern. A handbag or your heels will do the trick!

Top the look off with a coat. It’s freezing out right now! A fancier coat would be perfect to polish off your look.

Strut it with confidence! Because girl you look good!
