The weather is beautiful and that means meals outside are a must! A spring brunch is probably in your near future, am I right? I’m sharing the perfect look for dining outdoors and sipping mimosas.

Happy Friday’s Eve! Who is ready for the weekend? Brunching outdoors with friends {or family} and all the other wonderful events the weekend includes. I sure am! This weekend we have lots of fun things going on. Tomorrow night Joshua and I are headed to Coyote Joe’s, a super country bar here in Charlotte to see Jon Langston {be sure to follow along via IG stories @louellareese}. Saturday I’m hosting a get together for The Blog Societies at Sugar Creek Brewing for a little Blogging & Brews. Sunday will consist of church, brunch with the in laws, and time at the lake. What’s your weekend look like? Anything exciting going on? {comment below to share}.
With weekend brunch in mind, I put this look together. As I stated in Tuesday’s post, I’m quite obsessed with this dress. I’ve been using just about every excuse to wear it. Therefore weekend brunch felt like the perfect opportunity. A couple reasons why this dress is great for weekend brunch: it’s flowy {covers food baby}, it’s midi length {keeps your legs warm when that spring breeze picks up}, and the white color {perfect for spring}.

To make the dress a little more casual I paired the dress with one of the BEST jackets for spring, a utility jacket in olive. If you don’t have a jacket like this I would highly recommend purchasing one. It looks great pulled over just about everything. Also, it’s super cute tied around your waist.
Then I played around with my accessories. Y’all know I had to add some blue! Therefore I pulled out my new favorite pair of slides. The second I laid eyes on these I HAD to have them! I texted Joshua about five times during a fashion show I was at where these were featured. There was no question I was not walking out of there without them! I mean they’re gingham {all the heart eyed emojis}.
Lastly, I packed a serious punch with this bucket bag from Dagne Dover. Tell me this isn’t a statement bag! A statement bag is a MUST for Spring! It’s perfect to pair with your lighter items to really add a pop of excitement.
My thoughts for brunch come Spring is to have fun! Choose one classic or solid piece and have fun with your accessories. Add pops of colors, patterns, and textures. Building off that one solid piece will allow you to really go all out with the rest of your look.
