Where I Went: April was a pretty low key month on the travel front. We did spend one weekend in Blowing Rock, NC though. Which was amazing and exactly what I needed. We spent a ton of time walking around Blowing Rock‘s adorable down town and the beautiful neighborhood we were staying in. We also stopped into Appalachian Brewing Company. Joshua and I both found beers we LOVE! Definitely recommend dropping in if you’re in the area.
What Movies Watched:
Hacksaw Ridge – Highly recommend. This is one of my favorite movies to date!
Moonlight – I was not at all a fan of this movie. I know others love it though. I think Moonlight is one of those love or hate movies.
The Choice – A classic Nicholas Sparks movie. One of my favorites of his though!
Recipes Tried:
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies – These are literally the BEST cookies I have ever tasted.
Easy Oven-Baked Zucchini Chips – Perfect low calorie afternoon snack.
Ramen Noodle & Beef Skillet – This has been one of our go to recipes for dinner. So easy and quick! Not to mention cheap!!

TV Shows Watched/Watching: Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, and Brothers & Sisters. I am OBSESSED with Brothers & Sisters. I started watching the show about a month ago on the ABC app and I am now well into the third season. If you haven’t watched the show, it’s all about a family of five children (all grown up) and their over involved but incredibly sweet mother. There’s lots of real life issues as well as crazy family drama. After an episode or two you will completely fall in love with at least one of the siblings! Kitty & Justin are my personal favorites.
Let me know your thoughts on this post…if you’re a fan or not! If so, this is something I could do at the end of each month/beginning of each month.
Those oatmeal cookies look delicious!
