Back with another look from my time at Chateau Elan Winery & Resort {see previous ones here and here}. This one just might be my favorite. I feel as though this dress was made for exploring the vineyards and living that vacation life.
When deciding what I wanted to wear for a little exploring of the vineyards I knew it had to be comfortable, lightweight, and allow for lots of movement. Therefore this scarf dress was the perfect item. It’s very light, breezy, and basically feels as though you’re wearing a maxi night gown. A complete win in my book. Due to being unsure about the evening temperatures I packed my trusty denim jacket. Always a good call in my opinion as it goes with just about everything! During the day, the jacket wasn’t needed but come 7/7:30pm the humidity dropped and the air was slightly crisp.

A couple of tips for picking out what to wear for exploring vineyards and/or winery tasting :
Pack a light layer: As mentioned above, temperatures can really change once the sun starts to go down. Also, when you’re inside wine tasting and taking a tour of the winery. Therefore a light layer is a must. Think denim jacket, utility jacket, or oversized cardigan. All of those would be perfect for throwing over whatever you’re wearing.
Wear comfortable shoes: You’re going to be walking in the grass, standing during your wine tasting, and probably heading down a couple flight of stairs during your winery tour. Comfortable shoes are a MUST! While exploring the vineyards I went shoeless but during the tour I wore a simple pair of slides that were easy to walk in and comfortable to stand in all afternoon {see here}.
Bring your sunglasses: Another must have! May seem like a duh but I am sure several people thing they should leave them in the car while wine tasting and winery touring BUT often times that tour takes you outside for a bit. Plus after wine tasting you might want to bring your favorite bottle outside for a little drinking + socializing.
Go a little more dressy: When you visit a winery + vineyards you’ll often see people dressed a little more snazzy. After all, a winery is a step up from your local brewery. Opt for a dress or white jeans and a feminine blouse.
Wear a pretty print: As you can see with my look, I opted for quite the print. It’s busy but it looked amazing against the backdrop. I believe the vineyards and my dress complimented each other perfectly. Each one making the other POP! Gingham would be a great option too.
WHat a pretty dress, and that backdrop is stunning!
Thanks so much Anna!

Totally agree with making sure you’re on the “dressier” side! I went to a winery this weekend and was glad I decided to forego my distressed denim shorts!
