Styling corduroys for fall – two ways I’m wearing my new favorite pants + tips on dressing them up and styling them down!
Look 1: c/o chicwish square neck sweater | c/o everlane corduroy straight leg crop pant | c/o neely & chloe the lady bag | madewell Juliette oxfords | DAVID YURMAN CABLE CUFF | DAVID YURMAN CABLE RING
So excited to be diving into fall looks! While the temperatures in Charlotte aren’t reflecting the new season, I know so many of you in other parts of the country are experiencing the best temps of the year (in my opinion). Therefore, these posts are for you! And inspiration for those like me in the south that will hopefully have cooler tempers sooner rather than later!
Kicking off with one of my favorite fabrics for the fall season, corduroy! I may have shared this before but when I was a tiny tot I LOVED to wear corduroy shorts (think boyfriend/bermuda shorts) with the same colored tights under them. Maybe not the coolest look but on a 5-6 year old it was pretty cute haha. Anyways, my love for corduroy has gone absolutely no where! Thankfully the textile is making quite the comeback this season – and it a variety of colors!
Enter today’s key item – pink corduroys for fall!
When I spotted this adorable pair of cords in dusty lilac the 5 year old Laura Leigh in me squealed with excitement! I mean are they not the cutest corduroy pants you’ve ever seen? With that being said, I know colored pants can be tricky for some or a little scary, so I wanted to share a couple of ways to style the adorable pants. And if dusty lilac just isn’t you’re thing, they’re also available in navy, golden brown, and bone (off-white).
p.s. did you check out my most recent multi-styling post highlighting two ways to style a t-shirt midi dress?
Two Ways I’m Styling Corduroys for Fall
Look 1: c/o chicwish square neck sweater | c/o everlane corduroy straight leg crop pant | c/o neely & chloe the lady bag | madewell Juliette oxfords | DAVID YURMAN CABLE CUFF | DAVID YURMAN CABLE RING
This combination is one I think would be perfect for the office (if your office doesn’t require you to get too dressed up), church, a fall date night, weekend brunch with the girl friends or family, and honestly the list goes on. It’s a versatile combination that is both comfy and cute. While also being warm – for when those cooler temps do arrive.
For this dressier look, I paired the corduroys with an ivory square neck sweater, cognac oxfords, and a ladylike handbag. This combo is what my fall color palette dreams are made of – rich green, classic cognac, and a dusty pink. Perfectly feminine, perfectly fall!
Look 2: c/o everlane henley waffle tee | c/o everlane corduroy straight leg crop pant | c/o beck bags medium classic tote | similar bandana | veja vegan leather sneakers | bp. round frame sunglasses | DAVID YURMAN CABLE CUFF | DAVID YURMAN CABLE RING
For a more casual look, I paired the corduroys with a cozy henley waffle top, a great pair of white sneakers (seriously they’re the comfiest pair I’ve ever owned), and a big ole tote to carry everything I need while out and about. A perfect for running errands, working from a coffee shop, or weekend brunch with your gal pals.
I tucked the henley waffle top in to accentuate my waist and give this look a little more shape. Also, went a little matchy-matchy with the pops of pink on my sneakers and the bandana tied onto the handle of my bag. Love the feminine vibe it gives this look – even when paired with sneakers!
I love the colours of your outfits. So adorable.
Aw thank you lady!
