Diving into my birthday celebration and sharing a ChappyWrap blanket review aka sharing my new favorite blanket!
This week is the week y’all! What am I talking about? I’m talking about the week I turn 30. Say goodbye to my 20s and hello to 30s. Something I am equally excited and terrified about/for. I have chatted with so many of my girl friends that are in their 30s and in their 20s about the big 3-0. Those in their 30s say it has been their favorite decade/season of life. That your confidence is instantly boosted (can I get a praise?) as you feel more comfortable in your skin, in who you are, and in what you want. Then those in their 20s share the stress over saying goodbye to that decade and feeling a little old. Now I KNOW 30 is not old but I do think it’s a big milestone, especially for women. So if you’re with me and feeling a little anxiety over this particular birthday, my recommendation is to throw a birthday party and live it up with your best girl friends! That is exactly what I did and I have to say, I’m feeling a lot better about turning 30…TOMORROW!
To play off one of my favorite movies, I threw a 30 Going on 13 birthday party! Complete with Razzles, all of the sweet treats, cute pajamas, and an epic dance party! Y’all having a pajama party with your best girl friends is 100% the best way to bring you back to the glory days of sleepovers at your best friends house in middle school. So through out this week I am going to share lots of photos from our party plus tips on how to throw a grown up pajama party yourself! It is going to be a fun week y’all!
Aside from sharing photos and tips, I’m also going to be sharing items that pulled this party together! And by that, I mean I am going to be giving them away to y’all! Each day this week I will be hosting a giveaway for an item from the pajama party. You may have guessed today’s already (it’s in the title), a ChappyWrap Blanket. Stay tuned via Instagram as I will be posting the giveaway around 8pm this evening.
ChappyWrap Blankets played a big part in the party! Initially I laid them over each gals chair as decor. The blankets added so much to the tablescape and were the perfect addition for a winter party. Not to mention a great party favor! Who doesn’t love curling up in a cozy blanket? Which is exactly what we did when we sat down to enjoy brunch as well as when we sat outside for a bit to enjoy the sunny day. And a little later on the couch for some much needed girl talk!
If you haven’t been introduced to ChappyWrap Blankets before they are a family-run business, a mother-daughter team that create high-quality blankets made from a plush, natural-cotton blend and high-performance fibers. Aka the softest blankets ever! Their mission is to spread comfort to everyone, everywhere with the world’s best blankets. And let me tell you, once you wrap a ChappyWrap Blankets you’ll be saying mission accomplished! Wondering where the name Chappy came from? Chappaquiddick or “Chappy,” to locals—is a special place on Martha’s Vineyard. It is a sanctuary for those who love the beauty of nature, and its ability to reconnect us. ChappyWrap’s founding offices were just a quick ferry from Chappy, making ChappyWrap a fitting name for a blanket that softens surroundings and makes moments memorable.
For my party I opted for the Long Wharf Herringbone in Navy. You know I HAD to HAVE a blue blanket! The navy and classic herringbone seemed perfect for the winter season. As well as being a great “neutral” for the gals – navy works in just about every space. A few other ChappyWrap blankets I love…Sea Watch Plaid in Blue, Sea Watch Plaid in Green, and the Hydrangea Blanket. Although picking favorites is pretty hard! ChappyWrap has so many beautiful blankets to choose from. Definitely a little something for everyone! Even the little ones in your life. If you haven’t yet finished your Christmas shopping, I would highly recommend completing it with some ChappyWrap Blankets because again, who doesn’t love curling up in a cozy blanket? And if you’re in need a few festive blankets around your home, I would suggest Pines and Needles, Winter Wonderland, and Snowflake Classic Fair Isle.
Grown Up Pajama Party Tip #1
Offer up something cozy!
Pajama parties are all about getting cozy – whether it’s on the couch to watch a chick flick or at the table enjoying brunch or birthday cake. Make sure your guests are warm and cozy with lots of plush blankets. Lay them over chairs as additional decor or store them in baskets around the room – easy access is a must!
Remember to be on the lookout via Instagram this evening around 8pm for a chance to win a ChappyWrap of your own (or to gift this holiday season).
You are truly the cutest! LOVE LOVE LOVE this birthday party idea!!! I now think I need a Chappy Wrap in my life ASAP.
